COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Belgian style ale that's pale and cloudy in appearance, that's because it's unfiltered and has a high level of wheat. Wit beer is traditionally brewed with coriander and orange zest. Ours uses organic pale and wheat malts, ground coriander, organic lemongrass (to impart a citrus character) and wild-crafted elderflower.

16 oz. can courtesy of Sean and Amber. Perfect eye appeal. Hazy gold with a thin layer layer of head. Flavor is mild, light coriander with solid wheat character. Lots of sugar, I guess the candi sugar is the Belgian character. When it gets warm, it kind of smells like perfume. The lemongrass makes it a bit different as well. It’s ok.

Cloudy golden color. Farmhouse funk and spice aroma. Taste immediately hits you with the belgians yeast funk and finishes with spice and citrus. Was pretty decent.

12 oz can cloudy light beige yellow. Big fluffy white head that then receded to just line of bubbles around he edge. Definitely some lemongrass and coriander spice. Nice fairly spicy flavors. Smooth bodied.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a bright yellow color with a large white head. A big fresh fruit nose with bananas. The flavor is spicy, some earthy malts, but dominated by a robust fruity hop, clear wit base. Floral. The lemongrass is a really nice addition. One awesome Wit.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a hazy straw topped with a fluffy white head. Nose is citrus lemon grass orange spice and some sweetness. Taste is holy lemon grass orange spice maybe even some basil. I maybe getting the lemon grass and basil because I had Thai food for lunch. Pretty tasty.

16 oz can poured a cloudy golden amber with a small lingering ivory head. Aromas of wheat, yeast, floral notes and light lemongrass. Palate was light bodied and crisp with a smooth dry finish. Flavors of wheat, yeast, floral notes and light citrus with a smooth dry lingering floral finish.

Lovely nose full of wheat and coriander and just a kiss of citrus. Smooth flavor with dry wheat, cracker, some dry coriander and a nice belgianish herbal finish. A lovely touch of Lemongrass throughout.

16 oz can. Pours hazy orange with white head that dissipates quickly. Aroma: pepper, citrus (orange & lemon), bread, wheat. Taste: Bubblegum and pepper. Moderately sweet, crisp, minimally bitter finish. Taste is somewhat floral as well, mixed with dirty gym socks (or cheese + BO -- not sure which is a better descriptor). The off-flavors aren’t huge or anything, but they’re there when I focus on them. Palate: Light body, thin, with average carbonation. Overall: okay. Became increasingly harder to drink after the first 4-6 oz.

Can in the Room 316 Tulip tasting, Bodegraven, 27/09/13 bath tub chilled. Hazed golden amber with a thin off white head. Tarteish fruit on the nose, peaches, orange, grain. Taste comprises orange pith, grass, light apricot, more peachyness. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, doesn’t offer the refreshment I’d expect for the style in the finish. Average at best.

Room 316 Tulip Hotel tasting with Ian and Colin. Can. Very hazy orange - gold beer, tidy white head. Palate is light and airy with fine carbonation. Light wheaty malt, dry. Whisper of citrus. Mild minerals. Light airy dry finish. Boring!
