Belgian style ale that's pale and cloudy in appearance, that's because it's unfiltered and has a high level of wheat. Wit beer is traditionally brewed with coriander and orange zest. Ours uses organic pale and wheat malts, ground coriander, organic lemongrass (to impart a citrus character) and wild-crafted elderflower.

16 oz. can courtesy of Sean and Amber. Perfect eye appeal. Hazy gold with a thin layer layer of head. Flavor is mild, light coriander with solid wheat character. Lots of sugar, I guess the candi sugar is the Belgian character. When it gets warm, it kind of smells like perfume. The lemongrass makes it a bit different as well. It’s ok.

Can. Colour...hazy golden straw with a thin white head. Nose...faint hints of butyl esters and sweet spices. Palate...frothy and fairly zesty, with notes of coriander and sweet spice, muddled with some citrus. The finish is short and somewhat spicy.

Draft pour pint at Frankies pizza. Pours a light golden color with a fizzy head. A lot of refreshing lemon flavor with a light floral finish. Mild orange spice. Very nice wit.

Lemongrass notes with faint hints of coriander. The nose is slightly floral and the elderberry comes through on the finish. Refreshing on a hot summer day

Canned on 12.05.14. Poured from a 12 oz can into a pub glass on 02.04.15. A: Banana, orange, spices, wheat, and lemon. A: 1/2 finger head that fades to a ring with spots of foam. Hazy straw yellow body with floating bits. T: Lemon and wheat dominate. Banana, spices, and orange are subtle. P: Smooth and bubbly. Medium mouthfeel. Refreshing. O: This is a solid wit. There’s not a lot of flavor, though.

Draft - Lemon and nice herbal notes. Clear gold with a rich white head. Lots of lemon grass and herbal notes. Slightly on the side of dishwasher detergent.

On tap at Fort George, pours a hazy pale yellow with a small white head. Aroma brings out notes of elderflower, as well as coriander and floral notes. Flavour is soft on the palate, again with notes of elderflowers and coriander, very floral as well. Very solid Belgian wit that drinks easily.

"Lemongrass and elderflower...you can tel this beer goes beyond the traditional coriander and orange, but never would have guessed the flower. Light and refreshing, yet flavorful, with a very fruity, floral, almost perfumey aroma.

Poured from can to glass. Hazy straw hue with fizzy white head. Aroma is citrus, peppercorn, tangerine, straw, Belgian esters. Mouthfeel is nice with a medium light body and zesty carbonation. Taste is sweet initially with a peppercorn spicy following and slight estery finish. Overall this was another good beer from Ft George.

12oz can picked up a little while back at Bier Thirty... Just found it tonight... I have also spotted this one at Brewer’s Haven and a couple other places. Poured into my FunkFest goblet... surprisingly short lived white head atop a hazed golden brew.. no lacing, no retention. Nose shows wheat malt that sorta pummels the orange zest, but a resilient coriander keeps Wit character in the game. Flavor is pretty good... the zest and spice come out okay.. perhaps a bit sweet and malty on the finish... seems a bit muddy and yeasty. Meh... Nothing wrong.. Could be dialed in a bit more IMO.

Hazy golden pour with a quickly fading white head. A bit spicy with an unusual flavor(elderberry?) Not my favorite.
