A smooth and creamy session-style american pale ale. With a straw-colored hue this beer’s dry nature with affable bitterness and lovely hop aroma makes it an easy choice for drinking anytime of the day, even when the sun is rising. This beer is based on the first beer ever produced at the Fort George Brewery (Beer#1). We decided to add 50lbs. of oatmeal to make it even better.

Can - Bready and grapefruit. Clearish gold with a nice head. Bitter and grapefruit niceness. Oatmeal? Not getting it but don’t care, it’s good.

This one.poured a bright orange with a white head. Aroma was of caramel, grassy and grapefruity hops. Flavor was similar, great mouthfeel from the oats and very nicely balanced. Tasty stuff really.

On tap at bier thirty. Pours out a cloudy straw topped with a white cream head. Nose is citrus grapefruit peel hop and oats. Taste is really grapefruit forward with a bitter grapefruit pithy end.

Can. Pours a bright orange color with a medium to small white head. A sweet orange nose, some biscuit. The flavor is pretty bitter, lemons, some husky sweet malts and oats, herbal tea. Quite robust. Pretty nice.

Nose was more hoppy than I expected but in a delightful way, featuring leafy fresh hops, a touch of leafy lupulin, and a touch of lemon rind. The taste is nice and full with a leafy hop bitterness, some mild earthy pale sweetness, and a fresh hop tone. Hard to describe, but I’m not doing it justice. Surprisingly great and smooth and nuanced.

Hazy blond color with creamy head. The aroma is lightly citrusy. Dry but smooth mouthfeel; crisp malts, with nice lemony hopping.
Fresh, pleasant.

Canned: unk pours very carbonated golden with a couple fingers of fine creamy foam. Nose is nice, grapefruit, peach, pine, sweet malts, hints of honey and oranges. I like this nose a ton. Flavor is plenty bitter with some biscuit malts, some gun powder flavors, a bit of tea and oxidation - too bad the flavor doesn’t meet the presence of the aroma. Medium bodied with moderate carb and an off dry finish, a little too dry for the style IMO. Nice beer, could use some tweaks here and there. Serving type: can 09-14-2012

Slightly hazy orange pour with a white head. Dank a slight vegetal (onion?) and citrus nose. Taste is nice. Strong bitterness in the taste and in the finish.

Serving: from can--purchased at The Beer Junction Aroma: moderate pine hop. Appearance: small, rocky, white initial head. Cloudy, medium-yellow body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and moderately bitter finish with hint of grapefruit. Average duration. Palate: medium body, dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: excellent. Great aroma, not overly bitter, easy to drink, interesting.
