Its a great tasting beer. Im not a fan of alot of bitterness. I love the initial taste..the slight bitterness sneaks up on you as an after taste. Great beer I will for sure be drinking alot in the summer. I can see having a few of these sitting in the sun down by the river.

Delightfully egg white frothy head that keeps. Aroma of medicinal hops and metal. Aggressively bitter with peachy flavors coming through. No oats are noticeable in the flavor though I think they contribute to a filminess mouthfeel.

Interested when I first read the name of the beer on the can. Super and I mean SUPER hazy golden coloured body with a large, dense, five centimetre tall white head - this looks like a glass of pure wort. Aroma of great fresh grapefruity, piney hops with some herbal notes, a ton of yeast and some nice mellow malts, but I don’t smell oats. Medium-bodied; Strong piney and citrus hops showing cascades with a lot of earthiness soon afterwards and a nice full-bodied finish that must be the oats. Aftertaste shows a more pronounced alcohol warmth with a ridiculous body that isn’t perceptable until after a sip. Overall, a very nice and well put together beer. For sampling tons of new styles and concoctions all the time, this one still surprised me and I thoroughly enjoyed it - I’ll try to find this more the next time I head to the PNW, as it’s a very good beer and I’m glad I brought it back home! I sampled this sixteen ounce can purchased from Bottleworks in Seattle, Washington on 10-February-2013 for US$2.75 sampled at home in [the real] Washington on 03-April-2013.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 JDBaker11058 (922) - Maryland, USA - MAR 22, 2013
Appearance: hazy orange gold with a massive fluffy electric-white head that lasts forever, poofing over the top of the glass. Aroma: blood orange, grapefruit, apricot, honey smacks, and a bit of pine. Taste: pretty bitter up front, drunk through that massive, hop oil-retaining head, with notes of marmalade, grapefruit juice, and orange peel; there’s a creamy, slightly sweet malt undertone. Finish: creamy and a bit chewy, with lingering citrus and pine hop notes. Notes: Freebie can from LetsPour.com. Beautiful-looking beer. I’m no hop-head, so it was a little bitter for me, but still clearly well-crafted and interesting.

16 oz can Pours a hazy dark orange color with a fluffy thick white head with great lacing. Smells of oatmeal, honey, pine and citrus. Tastes of all the same things in the smell with caramel added. Mouthfeel is medium and very creamy with great carbonation and a semi dry finish. Overall this was a very interesting but good pale ale. The oatmeal added a lot of cool elements to the beer.

very yellow, w/ frothy white head. I smell corn, egg yolk, sugar. some oily to it—oats—still fizzy on the tongue. citrus-resin hop flavors with a light sweet balance.

Tan, poofy head. Smooth, nice oaty nose. Easy, delicately tannic, oaty flavor. Manages to feel full-bodied yet, light and easy-tempered all at once. Enjoyable and sessionable.

Eh its okay, resinous hops that kind of smells like pot but balanced with a oatmeal sweet and smoothness.

16 oz. can. Pours a hazy light amber with solid frothy white head. Nose and flavor really bring a pleasant lemon citrus character along with really pleasant dry spruce, hay, and lovely oat bitterness. While the oats may lend a touch of astringency, I think it works with this beer, and the palate really is nice and silky for a sub 5% session pale ale. An intriguing and unique beer, and I think it’s underrated so far.
