A smooth and creamy session-style american pale ale. With a straw-colored hue this beerís dry nature with affable bitterness and lovely hop aroma makes it an easy choice for drinking anytime of the day, even when the sun is rising. This beer is based on the first beer ever produced at the Fort George Brewery (Beer#1). We decided to add 50lbs. of oatmeal to make it even better.

Canned: unk pours very carbonated golden with a couple fingers of fine creamy foam. Nose is nice, grapefruit, peach, pine, sweet malts, hints of honey and oranges. I like this nose a ton. Flavor is plenty bitter with some biscuit malts, some gun powder flavors, a bit of tea and oxidation - too bad the flavor doesnít meet the presence of the aroma. Medium bodied with moderate carb and an off dry finish, a little too dry for the style IMO. Nice beer, could use some tweaks here and there. Serving type: can 09-14-2012

Slightly hazy orange pour with a white head. Dank a slight vegetal (onion?) and citrus nose. Taste is nice. Strong bitterness in the taste and in the finish.

Serving: from can--purchased at The Beer Junction Aroma: moderate pine hop. Appearance: small, rocky, white initial head. Cloudy, medium-yellow body. Taste: lightly bitter initial flavor and moderately bitter finish with hint of grapefruit. Average duration. Palate: medium body, dry texture and lively carbonation. Overall: excellent. Great aroma, not overly bitter, easy to drink, interesting.

On tap. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruits, pale malts. Flavor of salted, buttery popcorn. Literally like licking the bottom of a bag of popcorn. Itís hard to get much else. Yikes this is not good. 6/4/4/3/9 (2.6/5)

Some nice fruit and grass character in the aroma. Pours a clear straw color with a nice pillow head and good lacing. Smooth a nice bitterness and malt character a touch of creaminess assuming from the oats and a touch of hop character. This is pretty tasty

Can @ Croydonia Tasting. Cheers to Colleen for all the Oregonian libations. The pourís light amber with a small head. The aromaís honey, orange, mellow citrus. The taste is lemon pie. Somewhat bready. Pie crust sweetness. Clean finish. Light body. Overall, easy-drinking, nice.

3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Really digging the aroma on this guy. Lots of citrus, orange, lemon, grapefruit, touches of pine, grass, and a nice malt balance. Slightly more lackluster flavor, lighter citrus and more malt presence. Smooth texture, but the oats donít stand out overwhelmingly to me. Tasty.

Can at the Croydonia Tasting, picked up from Newport Market in Bend, 13/07/13. Hazy orange/light golden with a thin off white head. Nose is bitter orange, hops, light grapefruit, grass. Taste comprises hops, grass, orange pith, light tropical fruit sundae, touch of pine. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry finish with a little hop bitterness. Super drinkable APA - canít believe the low (ish) scores this one gets!

Can at Croydonia Tasting thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy pale golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is fresh orange, passion fruit, piss, tangerine and grapefruit. The taste is full of citrus...orange, grapefruit, pithy lemon, straw, hay, pine and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Lots of clean citrus. Very easy drinking stuff.
