3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
16 oz. can. Pours a hazy light amber with solid frothy white head. Nose and flavor really bring a pleasant lemon citrus character along with really pleasant dry spruce, hay, and lovely oat bitterness. While the oats may lend a touch of astringency, I think it works with this beer, and the palate really is nice and silky for a sub 5% session pale ale. An intriguing and unique beer, and I think it’s underrated so far.

pours very carbonated golden with a couple fingers of fine creamy foam. Nose is nice, grapefruit, peach, pine, sweet malts, hints of honey and oranges. I like this nose a ton. Flavor is plenty bitter with some biscuit malts, some gun powder flavors, a bit of tea and oxidation - too bad the flavor doesn’t meet the presence of the aroma. Medium bodied with moderate carb and an off dry finish, a little too dry for the style IMO. Nice beer, could use some tweaks here and there.

Slightly hazy orange pour with a white head. Dank a slight vegetal (onion?) and citrus nose. Taste is nice. Strong bitterness in the taste and in the finish.

On tap. Pours a hazy orange with a thick white head. Aroma of light fruits, pale malts. Flavor of salted, buttery popcorn. Literally like licking the bottom of a bag of popcorn. It’s hard to get much else. Yikes this is not good.

Some nice fruit and grass character in the aroma. Pours a clear straw color with a nice pillow head and good lacing. Smooth a nice bitterness and malt character a touch of creaminess assuming from the oats and a touch of hop character. This is pretty tasty

Can @ Croydonia Tasting. Cheers to Colleen for all the Oregonian libations. The pour’s light amber with a small head. The aroma’s honey, orange, mellow citrus. The taste is lemon pie. Somewhat bready. Pie crust sweetness. Clean finish. Light body. Overall, easy-drinking, nice.

3/28/13. Sampled during CBC 2013. Orange pour with a small khaki head. Really digging the aroma on this guy. Lots of citrus, orange, lemon, grapefruit, touches of pine, grass, and a nice malt balance. Slightly more lackluster flavor, lighter citrus and more malt presence. Smooth texture, but the oats don’t stand out overwhelmingly to me. Tasty.

Can at Croydonia Tasting thanks to Colin. It pours cloudy pale golden orange with a medium white head. The nose is fresh orange, passion fruit, piss, tangerine and grapefruit. The taste is full of citrus...orange, grapefruit, pithy lemon, straw, hay, pine and decent bitterness with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Lots of clean citrus. Very easy drinking stuff.
