COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Three Wisemen honor the holiday tradition of gifting: in this case, gifting your liver an Imperial oatmeal stout that has been lovingly conditioned in Bourbon, Tequila and Rum barrels, then brought back together to form a wonderfully warming, cunningly complex and graciously gratifying Yuletide elixir.

On tap at Noble Fir, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma of roasted malts, a bit of chocolate and some burnt notes – not very inviting. Flavour of slightly sweet chocolate malt, medium roasted malt and dry cocoa. Medium-bodied, with a dry roasty palate. Good stuff, but fairly standard impie stout.

Dark black in color, thin tan head. Big cocoa aroma and flavor. Lots of barrel aging happening this was a big huge tasty black beer.

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2012 Aroma strong, one of those beers that makes you wonder before you taste it, hard to place. Appearance dark, taste complex, palate good for short term. I tried to drink about 32 oz of it. Maybe it was palate or maybe it was alcohol content but I was loopy by the end of my jar. Good find, intetesting beer, great brewery. Side note: the service was fantastic and knowlegable made me feel like an Astorian again.

Tap @ Holiday Ale Fest 2012... Poured black with a tan head. Nose had a substantial amount of roast with noticeable wood there too. Tasted of roast with some astringent bitterness. Also lots of spices, spirit alcohol and wood/barrel. Some cinnamon with oak. Like a spiced cocktail. Not bad.
