COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our Panamax Porter is reborn with this new coffee porter named The Working Girl. This porter is reminiscent of our Panamax but has now has been brewed with the addition of over 5 lbs. of working girl coffee beans. The beans were put into both the mash tun and the kettle to create a light coffee aroma and coffee aftertaste in this diverse porter. With additional hints of chocolate and rye malt, this porter is well balanced and fantastic at any point in the day.

Draught. Pours black with thin beige head Moderate lacing Aroma is balanced roast and coffee. Coffee and roast malt in flavour but balanced, I feared that the coffee would overwhelm it, and it does not. Bit of hop in the finish

Dark brown in color, clear with a thin head. Dark roast coffee beans, chocolate and roast malt aroma and flavor. Thin tobacco finish with a subtle bitterness. Nice porter could use more roast and chocolate flavors.

Dark almost opaque black color, steady small beige head. Milky-toasted aroma of coffee beans and roasted malts with hints of tobacco. Light-bodied. Lots of tobacco in the flavor. Some toasted coffee beans. Decent light porter.

Tap at the brewery. Reddish black pour. Taste is roasted grain, coffee and chocolate. Nice and light with lots of flavor popping through on the back end. Roasted grain, coffee and hints of chocolate in the aroma. Nice session porter.

Tap at Bier Stein. Dark brown pour with fluffy tan head. I could smell the coffee wafting out of this one from 10 feet away as my server brought it to me. Not much depth to the aroma beyond that, a light earthen note perhaps, but that coffee scent is certainly inviting. The flavor is a little more complex, with some traces of nuttiness and a little bit of roasted malt. Not a super beer, but a solidly crafted one that I enjoyed.

2010-06-28. Very dark brown body with a nice beige head and lace. Modest aroma, dry roast over muted sweet malt. 6+ Flavour is similar, modest dry roast, sweeter malt base than expected from the aroma. 6+ Smooth average palate is nice but lighter than my preference for a porter. 3+ Decent. On tap at Fort George, Astoria

[3022-20100628] Tap. Bear poop and wet forest earth aroma has some bark and roast. Hazy, dark brown body with a quick foamy light tan head and some lacing. Roasted bark and forest floor flavour with a long toasted caramel malt aftertaste. Medium-full body. Yum, quite tasty.

Tap @ their brewpub... Poured dark brown, near opaque with a frothy, tan head. Lots of coffee with a big roast and a dark, malt sweetness that then turned out a tamed nuttiness.
