Brewed for our 7th birthday! Made with seven grains (barley, wheat, rye, oats, brown rice, corn, and sorghum) and seven hop varieties. Super smooth, with a touch of fruitiness and a dry finish.

1.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
UPDATED: AUG 28, 2014 Cask: trudged brown & turbid copper with nearly no head at all, only a dingy, beige film that stretches across the top. Aroma isn’t as robust as I would expect... Somewhat muddled & nebulous. Grainy, light sorghum, mint, bread, & a sharp phenol character that gets stronger & pretty distracting with warmth. Taste is just as strange with apple skins, sharp dark raisins, toffee, black licorice candy (think Good n’ Plenty), breadiness, & an unfortunately phenolic & peppery medicinal character in the finish. Mouth feel was creamy & smooth thanks to the cask, but that was the best part about this beer. Too much of an alcohol presence & medicinal off-flavors made this one tough to choke down.

On cask at the brewery. Look and taste resembles almost apple cider. Pretty boozy. Not the best.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap: The aroma is fruity with some citrus and light grapefruit. It’s a transparent amber with a small white head and some nice webbing for lacing. The flavor starts lightly fruity with some sweet citrus notes. The finish has light-moderate grapefruit. It’s light-medium bodied with soft carbonation and mouthfeel.
