rtruck (4), Michigan, USA does not count Sep 3, 2005 On tap fruity aroma nice color fairly smooth not to sweet better than their cask version good enough I bought a growler to take to a party tbarnette (105), Allen Park, Michigan, USA Sep 1, 2005 Decent lager, very light, very sweet. I think sweet should be saved for soda pop, not lagers. Styles (1653), Taylor, Michigan, USA Aug 3, 2005 Tap: amber color with minimal head, fades to film. Aroma a little subdued, but flowery, musty and some faint fruit hop character. Initial flavor is all sweet malt, turns skunky/funky and finishes with some residuel sugar. Decent overall. Rastacouere (5270), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Jul 28, 2005 Fruity aromas (apricot, fig, tangerine, apples) are floral, leafy and herbal. Copper coloured, gentle, but diminishing white head. Rather juicy palate, carbonation is a bit low, light-medium bodied. Interesting flavor development, limited hops aromas presence, but fairly bitter. Highly fruity, mostly simple, but interesting. BBB63 (3797), La Porte, Indiana, USA Jul 24, 2005 MiBG Gest 2005:
Pours a cloudy deep amber hue with a fizzy head and minimal lace. The aroma has notes of grassy and herbal characteristics, orange peel, apricot, lemongrass, and a flowery vapor. The taste starts a bit fruity and quite flowery. Addtional notes of vanilla bean, earthy yeast, a white pepper. Some lingering bitterness. The feel is a bit underwhelming. Nice but not quite what I would want from a BdG. I like what I see so far from the brewery, I hope they continue to push the standard micro envelope.
