Gravity cask: orange with no head. Aroma is very muted citrus fruit. Flavor is all citrus fruit (lots of orange) without the bitterness. Was a little oily flat, but found this very drinkable nonetheless.

From a gravity fed cask. Orange amber in color with no head. Pretty much completely lacking in carbonation. To me this beer is confused with oak and bock influences. A bit malty sweet up front, perhaps some leftover bock? Not a lot of bourbon or oak influence. Hoppy but not much else. Their regular IPA from which this was based is much better.

Gravity pour @ brewery. Something just wasn’t right as I sat almost right in front of the firkin as it was tapped. Not an ounce of carbonation anywhere. Supposedly this IPA was aged in bourbon barrels that a bock sat in before this. I bet the bock was better. I didnt taste any oak. Nor did I get any floral anything. This was just a flat mess.

On cask: Orange and grapefruit hop aroma. Real hazy orange without much head. Mostly a large bubbled ring that eventually fades to nothing. Flavor is of a real mellow IPA. Very citrusy with a decent hop finish. Don’t know if they achieved what they were looking for because I don’t get any bourbon flavor and very little oak flavor. Since this was also aged in a bock barrel, I’m suprised that there is no real bock flavor, although it may be what added to the maltiness and smoothness. Really seems like a maltier, more mellowed out, and obviously less carbonated version of their IPA (The Big Three). Whether they achieved what they wanted, not sure, but still pretty good.
