On tap: Not sure of the style so I listed it as an ale. Huge cherry syrup aroma with light hints of chocolate. Transparent amber with a slight haze and a minimal white head. Flavor has sort of a cherry tootsie pop taste. Finishes light citrus, spice, and bitterness. Somewhat reminds me a little of Sam Adam’s Cherry Wheat.

Michigan Brewers Festival 2006. Dark amber body with a small off white head. Mild muted hops, light sweet citrus. Average flavour with a very moderate bitterness. Quite well balanced. Average palate. 6/3/6+/3/13

UPDATED: DEC 26, 2007 Tap: hazy deep amber, filom for head. Aroma rather muted, but when swirled, has a huge cherry and sweet malt character. Doug stated that the use of almonds, is where the cherry character is coming from. Fruity esters abound. Flavor is all cherry up front, fades to a yeasty mustiness through the middle, tiniest bit of hop bitterness in the finish. Athough hop character was rather faint, getting huge hop belches from this. Re-rate from the summer fest ’06. Has a nice sour twang to it. Not much for wheat character, sour overpowers but in a good way. Somewhat delicate altogether.
