COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A robust porter made with real white and dark chocolate. Creamy and chocolatey with slight roast malt character to give it balance. A tasty treat! 32 IBUs

2008 MiBGF: Near black with some reddish highlight topped by a great creamy head and lace, very nice for a porter. The aroma has notes of chocolate, walnut, prune, white raisins, coffee, and heavy roasted malts. The taste is twangy and lactic followed quickly by bitter dark chocolate, espresso, and an overall roasty overtone. The mouth feel is oily and sticky, again better than the average porter... then again this is stout like anyway. A very nice brew indeed, the 3rd best beer I had on day 2.

Draft sample at the MBGF Summer 08. Pours a very dark brown color with a medium sized creamy tan head with moderate lacing. The aroma is roasted malt, creamy chocolate, mild coffee, and a dark fruitiness. The flavor is roasted malt, some bitterness, mocha, dark chocolate, espresso, and a slight dark fruitiness. Medium bodied, fairly smooth, and solid for a porter of 4.9%.

Draft sample at MBGF Summer08. Poured clear black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate malty aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Medium roasted dark chocolate flavor with medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Solid complex beer.

Tap: black with beige head, oily, coats the glass quite well. Huge choclate up front, roasted grain and coffee background. Flavor much th same, plenty of chocolate, fades into burnt coffee grinds towards the finish, (subtracts from the score quite a bit). Mouthfeel sort of dry, almost oatmeal flakiness dry in a way. Without the big coffee presence, would score much better.

I can taste the chocolate.. poured nice and thick.. Goes down strong but good. A delicious blend. Very good, available only a local micro brewery.

On tap: Lots of chocolate in the aroma with light coffee. Dark brown with no transparency and a small tan head. Decent lacing. Lots of milk chocolate and a hint of cream up front. Nice roasted coffee finish with a hint of nuttiness. Light but creamy mouthfeel with a touch of fizziness.
