3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Styles (2014) - Lincoln Park, USA - AUG 3, 2005
Tap: orangish/amber with decent off-white head, fadse to film. Nice big citrus hop kick up front, decent malt backbone. Very well balanced hop/malt flavor through and through. Nice long bitter hop aftertaste. Nice lacing. Very nice IPA. Hopefully the Piston namesake crossed some of their macro drinkers over.
3.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Petkus331 (77) - Redford, Michigan, USA - JUL 16, 2010
A taste that is very piny, a bit bitter, and hoppy with a hint of citrus on the end. The nose was a bit disappointing for an IPA, a faint yeastiness with a hint of citrus. Color was a translucent amber. Overall, an ok beer.
3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 dmschefke (526) - Macomb, Michigan, USA - JUN 19, 2009
Pours a nice clear orange with thick white head. Aroma of citrus hops, slight tart fruit, grass, and pine. Flavor matches well and has a bit of a wheat flavor that normally doesn’t accompany IPAs and is very refreshing. Overall very nice brew that should be a staple when stopping by this brewery.

Strong IPA (just the way I like them), this was excellent, probably my favorite from Fort Street Brewery. Also the strongest they offer.

Tap. Red-orange in color with a nice off-white head. Dense head fades to a film and leaves great lacing. Fantastic citric/piney hop aroma. Medium bodied, a bit astringent. Malt and hop balance is nicely maintained. Very nice.
3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 Pailhead (3449) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - JUL 4, 2005
On tap: Aroma has lots of citrus and hops. Transparent orangish-amber with a small white head. Very nice lacing. Sweet and malty up front with a big citrus hop finish. Very citrusy overall.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 IPFreely (1471) - Sanborn, New York, USA - JUN 27, 2005
Deep amber color, slight haze, beige head. Up front hoppy aroma, light fruitiness lying under. Light fruity malt comes first in the flavor folowed by some bitter hops. Medium bodied, somewhat dry. Pretty nice, probably their best offering.
