Cask: 3-30-06. Transparent amber, some chill haze, nice white head, great lacing. Aroma slightly muted until it warms a bit. Big fruity esters and standard sweet malt character show up. Flavor has a big spicy rye kick up front, fades through the middle to caramel, toasted malt, some citrus/floral near the finish and really dries out in the end. Guessing the champagne dries it out. Highly sessionable.

Cask: Cask conditioned version of the Smooth Ride Pale Ale brewed with champagne. Aroma is rather fruity with light citrus hops. Transparent amber with a white head that lasts a minute or so. Much fruitier than the regular version. Apricot, peach, and orange (almost orange soda-ish). Citrus hopped finish is much more mellow than the regular. With the hops not as dominant as they are in the Smooth Ride, the rye is more noticeable.
