Draught sample at MBG 2006 Summer Festival. Hazy light gold. Aroma of green citric hops - pleasant, but simple. Same goes for the flavour - lots of green hops and a dry, citric finish. Nice enough, with some good restraint for an IIPA, but not a lot going on.

Michigan Brewers Festival 2006. Light hazy pastel orange, white head fades. Leafy green hop aroma is fairly nice but one dimensional. Pleasant green hops return in the flavour, with a medium hop bitterness. Quaffable. Average palate. 7/3/7+/3/15-16

Tap: hazy dark golden in color, minimal white head. Huge citrus aroma, mostly grapefruit and orange zest, also get some yeasty esters, banana? Not a whole lot of malt backbone detectable in aroma. Flavor has all citrus up front, again orange and grapefruit zest. 2nd pint picked up alot more piney bitterness. As it warms getting more malt backbone. Very well done.

UPDATED: MAR 10, 2006 On tap: Excellent citrus aroma. Very nice balance between sweet orange a big grapefruit hops. Pours a cloudy golden-orange with a small white head. Leaves behind some nice rings of lacing. Lot of sweet malt up front with orange, apricot, and a hint of peach. Huge grapefruit hop finish is needed for balance. A hint of acidity in the finish. Long grapefruit hop aftertaste.
