MBG 7-21-06. My best of show, no questions asked. Hazy golden-amber, huge white head, tiny bubble carbonation. Huge fruity belgian like character up front. Banana, yeasty citrus esters and apple, followed with citrus hop background. Flavor much the same. Yeasty esters up front, with huge citrus through the middle and finish. Creamy smooth, until carbonation cleans palate, again very belgian like. Reminds me of the Chouffe ipa/triple. Very well done.

Draught. Hazy orange-yellow body with a soapy white head. The aroma is very fruity - pears, apples, and generally quite tripel-like. The flavour is cookie-ish with lots of chewy oranges. Quite nice. I could drink enough of this.

Michigan BGF 06, Day 2: Cloudy yellow hue with zip for head. The aroma is grassy, grapefruit, apple, pepper, and dusty yeast ester. The taste has a nice fruity character with some mild bitterness. Mild yeast and a bit o’ honey. The mouth feel is very smooth and lively. A good brew but nothing I would go out of my way to try again.
