bierkoning (8109) - La Tropica, - SEP 1, 2006
Cloudy, honey color, lasting frothy head. Honey, flowers and citrus in the aroma. Thinnish. Citric flavor with banana. Thirst quencher, no herbalness, rather onedimensional.

Hazy pale yellow colored pour. Big white head that falls slow and leaves plenty of lacing behind. Nice malty, citrusy aroma with big hints towards banana. A slight clove presence as well. Nice clove up front in the taste. Malt and citrus. Followed up with a nice yeasty earthiness. Very nice example.

bottle from somewhere in Oberbayern. Hazy (not cloudy at all), nearly clear golden colour, small white head. Slightly wheaty with a fruity touch. No glory.

Test vom 20.6.2005, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 9,5,8,7,8,8 - 7,50

500ml bottle. It looks pretty standard for a Hefeweizen. It smells like white wine, no joke. The taste is pretty crappy. It is one-dimensionally sweet and the alcohol somehow isn’t hidden. It has a very crappy malt flavor to it as well.

NIce, weizen will always be my favourites. It was awesome to have these at a metal festival. NIce features and spicy aroma.

(bottle) Cloudy, pale golden colour with a blond huge and quite stable foamy head. Slightly grainy and mildly wheaty aroma with present clovy spice and a rather restrained banana-fruity touch. Sweet flavour, medium to light bodied with a calm carbonation. Yeasty and moderately wheaty taste with distinctive grainy notes, a touch of bananas and cloves; sweet and slightly sour wheaty finish with a mildly grainy aftertaste. Easy-going Wheat. 15.X.10
