COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
KOMES POCZWÓRNY is an extraordinary beer created in order to commemorate 125 years of the Fortuna Brewery’s operations. This is a genuine speciality: a strong beer with a wonderful amber hue, dry-hopped with a mixture of several hop varieties. It is brewed with the addition of malt roasted at Browar Fortuna, in compliance with more than 100 years of the brewery’s craft tradition. The drink’s bouquet and flavour will change over time, owing to the natural, time-consuming fermentation taking place in the bottle. It will win any beer

[Archiwum] Kolor: Ciemnobursztynowy i mętny. Piana: Niska. Ogólna słabizna. Zapach: Głównie słody, w tle gdzieś karmel i alkohol i suszone owoce. Smak: mocno słodowo, karmel i owoce - w takiej kolejności.

Polecam, do zadumy... To quadrupel, jest więc bardzo mocny - 10% ABV.

Bottle. Cooper color, tan head. Aroma is esters, bubble gum and booze. Taste is medium to strong sweet, estery, boozie. Pretty flat and lack of complex.

UPDATED: FEB 29, 2016 W aromacie przewijają się białe owoce, trochę nuty typowej dla szampana i podbudowa słodowa gdzieś w tle. Piwo barwy miedzianej, praktycznie bez piany. W smaku duża żelazistość z wysoką alkoholowością podbitą słodowo-chlebowymi nutami. Piwo jest dość puste. W tle możemy wyczuć rachityczne białe owoce. Słabo.

Piwo otwarte na 3 miesiące przed końcem daty ważności. Kolor bardziej ciemnoczerwony niż bursztynowy - jak sugeruje etykieta. Piana obfita ale bardzo grubopęcherzykowa. W zapachu czuć coś z orzechów lecz zapach przechodzi alkoholem - jest go bowiem 10%. W smaku dominuje alkohol lecz przebijają się też inne smaki...

50 cl bottle poured in to a Trappist glass. Hazy amber-golden colour with a thin off-white head. Sweet aroma with apples, yeasts, caramel malts and prominent booze. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture and a lively carbonation. Finishes sweet with fruits and boozy hints. Way too much alcohol to be really pleasant. Feels thin despite the 10 % abv.

First I want to say: I like strong and coplex beer, which this one is. In aroma is possible to sense alkohol, which is in my opinion permission in this beer style (10%!). Also a lot of fruit and champagne notes, like peach and cherry (which peach, after few second, when beer warm up). No hopes detected. Beer is pale-golden with no head. Alohol and chamagne notes dominated beer taste. Bitter is on medium level - nice. Could be better but is correct. Full body! So nice. A little to high carbonatiion. In my opinion this Quadrupel is nice, but is my first one :D cheers!

Bottle 22.03.16, refermented in bottle about 14 months. Very light and liquory aroma of caramel, barley, sweet fruits - plum, peach, pear and vine alcohol. Dark amber coloured beer, clear. White, one fingered head, fastly disappears with no lacing. Taste of peach, pear, caramel, little barley and lot of vine alcohol. Sweet-sour aftertaste with low bitterness. High, fizzy carbonation. Full bodied with oily and thick texture. Very low drinkability. Alcohol is hidden not very well, but it’s noble and nice. Nice, but strange beer - more like vine or liquor.
