COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Komes Podwójny (A Dubble/Double Komes) is a dark strong beer fermented with the use of top fermenting yeast. This type of fermentation in the open vats, a high fermenting gravity and the application of dark malts result in a considerably strong beer which pleases the palate with a full, well defined, grainy-fruity taste completed with a delicate bitterness. The key element of the taste maturation of Komes Podwójny is the application of the traditional, demanding method of the bottle refermentation (second fermentation). This is thanks to the refermenting process that the beer becomes stronger and dryer as the time goes and it matures. The complete development of taste complexity lasts for 18 months.

We were brewing our beers without rush, devoting them many time and care – take a joy of them in the same way. May they be the source of your idle enjoyment. A beer maturing in the bottle. A non-pasteurized beer.

Contains: water, barley malts (Pale , Munich, Caramel), sugar (candid, caramel, cane), bitter hops, yeast. Contains yeast sediment. Alc. 7.0%, ext. 15 P.

Bottle. Clear brown with a thin tan head. Aroma is a bit acidic. Flavour is a little sweet with a sour base.

Bottle. Pours clear ruby with airy off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel. Slightly roasty and malty flavour with sweetish and roasty onset, unfortunately immediatećy replaced by rather unwelcome sourishness. It shouldn’t taste this way. Rather unbalanced. The day when I taste a good Polish dubbel is yet to come.

Bottle, 7%. Very roasted acidic aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Small stable creamy tan head. The flavour is quite acidic - seems lactic. Must be flawed, but not entirely unpleasant. Still, not a dubbel.

Bottle. Sweet aroma of caramel and apples, with faint banana and bubblegum notes. I miss the spiciness. Light to moderate body, caramelly-malty and fruity taste, light bitter and light tart. Slightly chocolatey, warming finish. Drinkable but bland.
