COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Komes Podwójny (A Dubble/Double Komes) is a dark strong beer fermented with the use of top fermenting yeast. This type of fermentation in the open vats, a high fermenting gravity and the application of dark malts result in a considerably strong beer which pleases the palate with a full, well defined, grainy-fruity taste completed with a delicate bitterness. The key element of the taste maturation of Komes Podwójny is the application of the traditional, demanding method of the bottle refermentation (second fermentation). This is thanks to the refermenting process that the beer becomes stronger and dryer as the time goes and it matures. The complete development of taste complexity lasts for 18 months.

We were brewing our beers without rush, devoting them many time and care – take a joy of them in the same way. May they be the source of your idle enjoyment. A beer maturing in the bottle. A non-pasteurized beer.

Contains: water, barley malts (Pale , Munich, Caramel), sugar (candid, caramel, cane), bitter hops, yeast. Contains yeast sediment. Alc. 7.0%, ext. 15 P.

Bottle, 7%. Very roasted acidic aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Small stable creamy tan head. The flavour is quite acidic - seems lactic. Must be flawed, but not entirely unpleasant. Still, not a dubbel.

Huge cream to tan coloured head over hazed deep-chestnut beer. Dry, bit leafy nose, some caramel and stearine (!). Again leafy, earthy, hint at chocolate, but also something decidedly acidic. LIghtly roasted, sweat, bitterish biscuits with walnutpeel. Acidity reinforced warming up. Medium bodied, well-carbonated. Bit sticky in the aftertaste, not irritatingly so. Nothing wrong with this. Nothing great either. Dziękuję, Aga!

Clear brown, huge beige head. Aroma is sweet malty with some metal notes. Taste is malty sweet, light roasted, herbal bitterness, slight metal and tart notes. Almost medium bodied, soft carbonation. Short after taste.

Tuoksussa vähäsen kahvia. Suussa kupliva, kuohuva, tumma, maltaisen maukas, aromikas, hapokas, alkoholinen. Jälkimakuna aivan snadi kuivuus, hapokkuus. Hyvä, todella hyvä. Lisää tätä.

Hazy, brown colour. Frothy, beige head. Aroma of caramel, roasted malt with hints of prunes and alcohol. Light bitterness, medium sweetness. Taste is absolutely dominated by alcohol and metal. Taste is also too sour. Medium carbonation. Very weak dubbel.

Not exactly what I expected - poorly concealed alcohol in aroma, rather flat taste. Then again, maybe I should’ve aged it for a bit longer...

Piana: średnio i drobno pęcherzykowa, szybki opadająca do całkowitego zniknięcia. Kolor: brąz z rubinem. Aromat: słod, karmel, paloność. Smak: karmel, kawa, mocno alkoholowe, goryczka lekka.

Dark amber off-clear pour with large head that drops pretty quickly.
Nose is mostly caramel, very weak fruity notes and some alcohol and wine qualities.
Tastes sweety sourish with wine-like mildly bitter finish.
Medium bodied and carbonated, alcohol on palate. Not impressive.

Piwo butelkowe. W zapachu lekkie nuty karmelowe i alkohol. Kolor bardzo ciemny bursztyn prawie nieklarowny. Piana znikoma, szybko znika do zera.
