COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Komes Podwójny (A Dubble/Double Komes) is a dark strong beer fermented with the use of top fermenting yeast. This type of fermentation in the open vats, a high fermenting gravity and the application of dark malts result in a considerably strong beer which pleases the palate with a full, well defined, grainy-fruity taste completed with a delicate bitterness. The key element of the taste maturation of Komes Podwójny is the application of the traditional, demanding method of the bottle refermentation (second fermentation). This is thanks to the refermenting process that the beer becomes stronger and dryer as the time goes and it matures. The complete development of taste complexity lasts for 18 months.

We were brewing our beers without rush, devoting them many time and care – take a joy of them in the same way. May they be the source of your idle enjoyment. A beer maturing in the bottle. A non-pasteurized beer.

Contains: water, barley malts (Pale , Munich, Caramel), sugar (candid, caramel, cane), bitter hops, yeast. Contains yeast sediment. Alc. 7.0%, ext. 15 P.

Bottle, 7%. Very roasted acidic aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Small stable creamy tan head. The flavour is quite acidic - seems lactic. Must be flawed, but not entirely unpleasant. Still, not a dubbel.

DWF; Take away from Poznan. Bottle 500 ml. Pours large, hazy dark brown with a lasting, creamy, lacing, light tan head. Nose is moderate to heavy, toasted malt, dark bread and fruit, and light spice. Taste is medium to heavy sweet and light bitter with a moderate lasting dark fruit finish. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft.

A very typical Belgian-style dubbel, but very well done. Really subtle caramel and fruit taste with a crisp finish.

bottle from PoloMarket Bolesławiec City Center. Deep brown, almost black, with a dense, tall beige head. Aroma of coffee, bitter chocolate and dried fruit. Full-bodied, loads of dark malty combined with a good fruity touch, mainly dried fruit such as prunes, figs and dates. Smooth and velvety palate. Goood!

Zapach mało intensywny i bez rewelacji. Smak: da się wypić. Druga flaszka wędruje do piwniczki bo jestem bardzo ciekaw jak wypadnie za rok porównanie piwa dojrzałego z młodym prosto ze sklepu.

Nice caramel aroma with some hints of fruits. Small quickly disappearing head. Brown hazy body. Sweet caramel taste with a little bit of sourness. Noticeable carbonation, probably a bit too high.

Butelka, warka do 22.03.2016, czyli pity niepelne poltora roku po rozlewie. Lekko opalizujace, czerwono-brazowe, ciemne, piana lekko kremowa, brudzaca szklo, niebrzydka, redukujaca sie dosc szybko.

A tymczasem calkiem pijalne, przyzwoite piwo.

Butelka 0.5l (22.01.2016 - 8 m-cy po rozlewie). Piwo o ladnej ciemno-miedzianej barwie z rubinowymi refleksami. Piana bialo-zolta, obfita ale szybko znikajaca choc ciensza warstwa trzyma sie calkiem dlugo ale lacingu praktycznie nie ma. Piwo wysoko nasycone. Aromat delikatny, slodow ciemnych, lekko winny z subtelna nutka czekolady, ktora zyskuje w miare ogrzewania sie piwa. W smaku slodowe (ciemne slody), owocowe, winne, lekko musujace z wyraznym kwaskiem. Srednio tresciwe, w miare pijalne choc wysycenie troche za duze ale to pewnie sprawka refermentacji. Alkohol niewyczuwalny choc rozgrzewa od srodka. Piwo zdecydowanie lepsze po ogrzaniu.

Fair beige head on this dark brown beer. 3/4 opacity. Wind in aroma, some resin and bread. Hints of coffee. Overall aroma is very weak. Light bitterness, high sourness. Light carbonation and body.
