COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Komes Podwjny (A Dubble/Double Komes) is a dark strong beer fermented with the use of top fermenting yeast. This type of fermentation in the open vats, a high fermenting gravity and the application of dark malts result in a considerably strong beer which pleases the palate with a full, well defined, grainy-fruity taste completed with a delicate bitterness. The key element of the taste maturation of Komes Podwjny is the application of the traditional, demanding method of the bottle refermentation (second fermentation). This is thanks to the refermenting process that the beer becomes stronger and dryer as the time goes and it matures. The complete development of taste complexity lasts for 18 months.

We were brewing our beers without rush, devoting them many time and care take a joy of them in the same way. May they be the source of your idle enjoyment. A beer maturing in the bottle. A non-pasteurized beer.

Contains: water, barley malts (Pale , Munich, Caramel), sugar (candid, caramel, cane), bitter hops, yeast. Contains yeast sediment. Alc. 7.0%, ext. 15 P.

Bottle, 7%. Very roasted acidic aroma. Almost clear dark brown colour. Small stable creamy tan head. The flavour is quite acidic - seems lactic. Must be flawed, but not entirely unpleasant. Still, not a dubbel.

Barwa ciemno bursztynowa prawie brunatna z wiśniowymi refleksami. Piana lekko kremowa, szybko znika. Aromat delikatny. W smaku ciemne słody i alkohol.

Stored in my cellar for 6 months. Some raisins, some blueberries, a little bit of caramel. Black with amber reflections, quickly dissappearing head. Light sweetness with light bitterness. Medium body, thin feel, average carbonation.

Dobre piwo.

Kwas, alkohol, troszkę owocw, troszkę karmelu, mocno wysycone i żelazo. Coś nie pykło im. Kiedyś piłem i było fajnie, teraz tragedia.

Bottle shared with JMD at HNB brewday 04.10.14. Very dark ruby. Beige head. Fine aroma of dark berries and candy sugar. Similar taste, also with dark caramel and juice of dark berries of the forest. Quite carbonated. A bit thin in body. Short aftertaste of blueberry juice.

Slank for sitt vitamininnhold.

Dark brown color. Brown rocky head. Nice lacing. Aroma of caramel, malts, coffe and dark fruits, plums mostly. Taste: dark burned caramel, chocolate, malt. Low bitterness. Dry and sour. Little bit sweet at the end. Overall: not bad but nothing special.

Im surely not a dubbel fan, but still - I think this one is really good. It has a sweet and very complex aroma, full of notes of: cherry, red wine, maybe even port wine, and bit of chocolate. Its dark brown, with copper reflexes, with rather no head, almost non-transparent, a bit hazy. Its strongly carbonated. Taste is a bit less complex than aroma. Its quite alcoholic and malty sweet. The mouth feeling is ok. Im quite sure its second the best Komes.

Huge cream to tan coloured head over hazed deep-chestnut beer. Dry, bit leafy nose, some caramel and stearine (!). Again leafy, earthy, hint at chocolate, but also something decidedly acidic. LIghtly roasted, sweat, bitterish biscuits with walnutpeel. Acidity reinforced warming up. Medium bodied, well-carbonated. Bit sticky in the aftertaste, not irritatingly so. Nothing wrong with this. Nothing great either. Dziękuję, Aga!
