COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
KOMES PORTER reflects the history of brewing, referring to the 18th century tradition of brewing porters in the Baltic states. At their prime, Baltic porters represented one third of the market, which is the best evidence of their popularity. We offer you a well-balanced, dark, strong beer with a distinct flavour. Slow fermentation at low temperatures in open vats, coupled with long (at least 3 months) maturation have resulted in the beer’s character and complete, complex nature. The Porter’s bouquet matures further in the bottle. Time is on its side.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Beer Market Jaffa. Thanks Levi. Blsck with a light brown head. Aroma of dark chocolate, roast, a licorice note and light fruitiness. Sweetish malty flavor, roasty, somewhat smoky, with some dark chocolate, a light fruity hint and a drier finish. Quite full-bodied and rounded. Good stuff.

Baltic porter was the first style I’ve ever tried - apart from lager, that is - so there’s a lot of warm feelings for BP in me. Rich, toasty body - notes of dark bread, chocolate and perhaps coffee. Decent head. Great bang for a buck.

Bootle 500ml. W barwie ciemno brunatne, klarowne ze stabilną beżową pianą drobnopęcherzykową. Nisko nasycone, piana ładnie zdobi szkło. W aromacie duża paloność, czekoladowość, melanoidy, lekka kawowość. W smaku duża słodowa paloność, czekoladowość i lekka alkoholowość i kawowość. Goryczka kawowo-palona , lekko alkoholowa. Dobra pijalność pomimo 9% alkoholu, świetny porter bałtycki.

W aromacie przede wszystkim kawa i paloność, lekkie kwaśne owoce, trochę czekolady.

Awesome beer. One of the best baltic porter present at the market at the moment. Completely black color. In aroma and taste a lot of dark bread, caramel and coffee. Also a little bit of citrus and herbs. Only the alcohol might be better covered but after all it’s a very strong beer so it’s still unbelievable pleasant to drink.
