1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Third and final beer in my 28th September 2012 ’Dodgy Lager tasting evening’. 300ml Clear bottle: best before the end of Mar 2013.
Dry, bitter, metallic, boring and lager looking: no smell.
The worst of the pilsner/lagers I had during the tasting; I must thank my daughter for finding such delights for me (this and one each from the cheap German based supermarkets Aldi and Lidl). She tries to find beers I’ve never reviewed before, but sometimes she does things like this, just to test my love!

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Bottle, from Morrisons Scunthorpe. Gold, thin shortlived white head and moderate condition. Low estery malt in the nose, thin and quite dry in the mouth with a quickly disappearing fruitiness, short dry finish.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20
300ml bottle. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is corn and a weird metallic lemon. Metallic twang is there too. Taste is quite like lemon shandy. Short finish. Nothing smart about this.

2.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
After a long search, I’ve finally harpooned this whale. 300ml clear bottle, 4.8%, BB June 2015. Pale orange, clear, sparkling, small foamy white head, full lacing. Aroma is light, corny, some pencil shavings. Body is light, foamy, tingly carbonation. Taste is very light - so light that I can taste the booze. A little dusty. Dry and refreshing finish. Watery and plain, but no bad flavours at all. A fine pale lager, better than expected. Can see why people would like it.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
300ml bottle. A clear, pale gold colour with a fine ring of loose white foam on the pour. An all-round grain, corn and sweet pale malt profile. Very little bitter presence finishing soft & sweet. Crisp, soft to medium carbonation, light in body & refreshing on the palate but relatively characterless.

2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle. Pale gold body. White head. Lager malts, grassy hops. Smells more premium than regular Foster’s, but not as premium as say Becks or Cobra. Light bitter taste. Dry finish.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Thin, watery, slight metallic taste, slightly unpleasant on the palate, I suppose this is meant to be drunk straight from the bottle, but I don’t see how this is a "premium beer"
