1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 rauchbier (3205) - Isle Of Beer, - DEC 7, 2011
Bottle, from Morrisons Scunthorpe. Gold, thin shortlived white head and moderate condition. Low estery malt in the nose, thin and quite dry in the mouth with a quickly disappearing fruitiness, short dry finish.
1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 maeib (6637) - Wootton, Northampton, Northamptonshire, ENGLAND - APR 1, 2012
Bottled. A golden beer with a nice white head. A sweet cereally aroma with sweetcorn. tastes similar. Boiled sweetcorn the dominant impression. A short bitter finish. Mass produced nonsense. Watery.
1.6 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 DruncanVeasey (5150) - NUNEATON, Blue Square Prem, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - JAN 28, 2012
300ml. Eponymous with a slim fine collar. Lemon, almond, slight pine aroma...beneath the regurgitated buck’s fizz. Thick, snot-laden palate with notes of glue, lemon and card spread with dog food. Not a personal favourite.
2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 swooper (1138) - Cambridge and Kladno(Czech Rep.), Cambridgeshire, ENGLAND - DEC 15, 2011
0,33l bottle not bad light hoppy aroma, why is caled gold if it is yellow pale...frothy, white foam, medium bitterness, light sweetness, a bit sharp bitterness, not very smooth, medium body, average carbonation, I dont know, strange flavour, nothing exiting
2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 flying_pig (344) - SCOTLAND - DEC 6, 2011
Clear, light golden straw colour with a two-finger sized, bubbly white head that quickly halves in size and finally settles as a thin, soapy lacing.
Almost no noticeable aroma from this one other than a slight hint of corn and a background skunky bitterness.
There is a little corn that matches the nose and what initially comes across as citrus quickly turns out to be a skunky, bitter finish. I’m not too impressed with this one, although to be fair I wasn’t expecting much.
Thin & light bodied but not quite watery, there is a slight tang to the beer as well with a dry finish.
This one is a pretty basic, mass-produced pale lager that I would rate as about average for the style. It doesn’t have much of a smell or taste really although it’s not quite as bland as some others I have tried & it is drinkable if not enjoyable. Skunky at the end though.

1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 berkshirejohn (3020) - Bracknell, Berkshire, ENGLAND - NOV 4, 2011
300ml bottle. Pale straw with a rapidly diminishing white head; a rather odd aroma - furniture polish and lemon sherbert perhaps; watery with a weak malt flavour; and just a trace of hops in the finish. Decidedly odd.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 tommann (1452) - Dudley, West Midlands, ENGLAND - OCT 26, 2011
300ml bottle. Pours gold with a large head. Aroma is corn and a weird metallic lemon. Metallic twang is there too. Taste is quite like lemon shandy. Short finish. Nothing smart about this.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 undercurrent25 (560) - Barnton, Cheshire, ENGLAND - AUG 26, 2011
Thin, watery, slight metallic taste, slightly unpleasant on the palate, I suppose this is meant to be drunk straight from the bottle, but I don’t see how this is a "premium beer"
2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Thebeerdude (20) - Norfolk, ENGLAND - JUL 20, 2011
Bottle. A new beer marketed at 18-24 year old males from Heineken UK with the Fosters branding, pleasently surprised, pale yellow colour, faint aroma, ok taste for a lager and better than regular Fosters if there’s a choice between the two.
