COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered and pasteurised. Available with added carbon dioxide in keg, can and bottled formats. First brewed in 1887.
Available in Britain as Export.
"A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability."

A little better than most of the style but maybe I’m blinded by the Aussie chick playing bubble hockey. She has on a pair of boots, short pants and a cowboy hat. The accent makes me want another Fosters.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of hay, some graininess. Sweetish grainy flavor with a more bitter finish. Light-bodied.

Drank it straight out of the oil can, so I really can’t describe what it looked like. It’s so big, you feel compelled to drink it in big gulps so it disappears in the same time as a 12 oz. A decent enough lager that it really isn’t a problem getting through it. Perfect on the golf course or around the barbecue.

Quite possibly the worst beer of all-time. Most pale lagers are pretty inoffensive, if nothing else, but this one is honestly like...rotted skunk pee, or something. I tried taking a few sips, but I spit them all out. Near the point of hurling, I had to save myself with some mouthwash before performing the inevitable drain pour.

Aroma: Doughy yeast aroma with hints of bready maltiness Appearance: Clear, pale gold with a thick, white head that dissipates quickly. Taste: Light sweetness with hints of bitterness at the edges to balance it out. Palate: Light body, watery texture, average carbonation Overall: I’m certainly not blown away, but I’m not disgusted outright either. It’s a pale lager, for sure, but drinkable and not as blech as others.

Stale and swet aroma with corn, some metal and grainy malt. Flavour is sweet and slightly stale with corn, hay, hints of grainy malt and metal. Bulky and too sweet.

750ml can. Pours a transparent yellow with frothy white head. Soft carbonation with minimal lacing. Somewhat skunky aroma hints at adjuncts. Grain and maybe corn. Very little flavor, slightly sweet and even less bitter. Smooth mouthfeel with almost no finish. Good for around a campfire or at a party, but little here to recommend.

33 cl. bottle @ home. Pale yellow with a white head. Faint malty aroma. Thin grassy malty taste. Sparkling mouthfeel but a watery thin aftertaste.
