COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered and pasteurised. Available with added carbon dioxide in keg, can and bottled formats. First brewed in 1887.
Available in Britain as Export.
"A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability."

UPDATED: MAR 21, 2008 Foster’s, Australian for ripoff. Not a bad beer, but don’t believe the hype.

Very close to water, no bitternes or power at all!

A touch better than the average macroswill in that it does have SOME malt flavor and less rice/sugar/adjunct flavor. Still, it’s not very impressive.

agree with smc123, success in marketing than taste, which is watery, bland and with little hoppyness at all

I think this is a waste of my time. Tastes like anything from the big American breweries, but since it comes from Australia some people seem to think its exotic. The can is nice, but then I could just buy a 40oz.

Not too bad actually. Have enjoyed them from time to time. I think the success here is more marketing than taste.

Hardly any beer flavor at all, sure theres aluminum and alcohol flavor under the water but it aint near cheap enough to suffer through when you wanna get pissed

It’s really middle of the road - not great and not the worst. I wouldn’t bring it all the way down to the level of Bud - it’s got a little something going for it. Not sure what

I really expected this beer to be a lot worse. It had a fairly good aroma, a little fruity taste (like Labatt Blue) and a really malty finish/aftertaste.
