330ml can, tried in Kyoto, Japan in early May 2014. Pours gold with a small white head. Malty aroma. Standard thin bodied lager that is drinkable if cold enough. Can’t remember if this is better or worse than the UK version.

Faint hoppy aroma present. Clear golden yellow color. Lots of carbonation. Not any flavor to speak about at all. Watery.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
Pours clear gold. Slight bit of bitterness, some malts, but overall a kind of watery kind of beer that doesn’t really bother you or impress you. Tinge of bitterness is nice, though.

2.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 3/20
Review of one of the large cans.
Appearance: Perfectly transparent with a bright golden colored body under a thick fluffy head that stands up for a long time. Great visible carbonation. It looks perfect.
Aroma: Mild spicy hop aroma and that familiar lager tinge. I can clearly pick out the spicy hop aroma though.
Taste: I’m literally picking up no flavor at all. There’s a bit of a cereal flavor at the end, but even that is watered down. It really does taste just like water. I won’t give it a 1 because it doesn’t taste disgusting, it literally just has no flavor...and I’m not saying that to be mean. I’m looking for flavor of any kind and I get none.
Mouthfeel: It’s crisp but it doesn’t give much presence in the mouth. Average at best.
Overall: Skip this beer. An adjunct lager does not mean the beer has to be flavorless, which this is. I recommend passing on it.

1.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20
Sadly, this beer falls into the same unexciting category of most pale lagers. No real aroma with a slight hint of corn. Unattractive light yellow color with a lot of effervescence. Light watery palate. Taste was bland and slightly grainy with hints of corn or rice. Better than most American macros, but that’s not saying much.

2.5 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 12/20
Tried it in a London pub:
A really nice transparant yellow beer with a firm layer of foam. It doesn’t have quite an aroma, but if there is any, it is hop like. It has a watery structure, but there is a lot of grain in the taste. A quite subtile aftertaste remains.
