COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered and pasteurised. Available with added carbon dioxide in keg, can and bottled formats. First brewed in 1887.
Available in Britain as Export.
"A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability."

This is the worst beer that I have ever had..seriously, a terrible beer. Somehow holds its place (among other culprits) on supermarket shelves in the UK..but I guess that beers like this really make us appreciate great craft beer that much more! Sorry Australia, but this is truly naff.

Can. Pours a hazy and pale yellow color with a medium white head. Aroma is like a lager. Taste is of malt, bread, hops and boredom. Looks, feels and tastes like a lager. Yes, Fosters are thin and uninteresting, but it’s really not much different from most other mass-market lagers. It’s pretty okay for what is it.

Oil Can, golden pour with a thin, light head. Watery pale lager, nothing special.

Pours with exceptional clarity. Light gold with lots of lager bubbles wafting toward the top to meet a fat soapy head of white foam that had better retention that I thought It might. Nose is crisp with only a slight bit of apple, sweet grain and a bright hops character. A bit of lemon from those pride of ringwood hops as it warms. Taste follows the nose all the way. The malt stays in the background until it warms and brings a light dry cracker. The apple is thin and delicious adding something cheerful and crisp. The carbonation has a small bite and the yeast imparts a bit of sourness to really round out this beer. Even though the middle is quite dry and palate cleansing, this beer finishes off dry and with a bit of sweet lemon and is very delicious. I would have this again.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein goldgelbes Bier mit geringer Schaumkrone. Geruch leicht malzig, getreidig. Geschmack leicht malzig getreidig, minimal bitter.

750 ml can (!), brewed in the US (Can Breweries Albany, GA or Fort Worth, TX).
The beer starts smooth malty, slightly sweet and quite deep in aroma. The mainpart is slightly grainy, smooth, not too sweet, nicely malty. The aftertaste is long, malty-grainy, slightly sweet.
A very nice full-bodied Lager. --> 10/12/11/12
