COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Filtered and pasteurised. Available with added carbon dioxide in keg, can and bottled formats. First brewed in 1887.

"A light-coloured lager style, it presents full malt character with a balanced clean hop bitterness. Combined with a slightly hoppy, but yeasty/malty nose, Foster's lager is a full bodied beer with excellent drinkability."

Light straw color; Light to medium body; Aroma & flavor of malt, grain and light hops; Finish is slight bitter; Overall, not too bad - about average for me.

Refreshing and good, fit into most things. Works best on a hot summer day after work in the garden.

Light Orange-brown. Thin head. Slight malty. Corn adjunct? Clear. Low ibu. Boring but not bad.

Poured into a pils glass. 750mL can. 3.0 A: Clear medium yellow color. Three plus fingers of foamy white head. Retention is good and a good amount of lacing is left. 2.0 S: Superbly dry. If I had to use a word, I’d go with "grainy," but it’s very faint. No hops, obviously. Aroma is pretty much absent, which isn’t good, but I do appreciate that the "sickly sweet" corniness is also at a minimum. 1.5 T: Ewww. This sucks. It’s actually a little bit bitter, but it mixes with the sickly sweet corniness to synergize into something worse than the additive effects of the two. Malts can be described as bready and grainy. Strange and horrible, even by AAL standards. 2.0 M: Heavier light body. Carbonation level is low for the style, but decent otherwise. This beer lies heavy on the tongue; dead and lifeless. 1.5 D: Not a fan of this one. Serving type: can Reviewed on: 04-25-2012 18:06:08

Clear straw golden with a head that fizzles away fast enough.. Aroma suprisingly has some floral tones with a touch of dry light toffee, peanuts, and just a touch of strawberry. Odd, but smells kinda eccentric and out-there enough for me to dig on. Mouthfeel is bland and light, expectedly. Flavor is pale cereal malts, light floral hop esters, a touch of fruit (not quite like the strawberry tone on the nose, but some sort of fruitiness is present on the taste...weird), with a shade of sweetness and dry toffee throughout. Finishes with a dry earthy pale malty tone. Not very good on it’s own, but judged by all other pale lagers I’ve had, it’s not shabby.

A little better than most of the style but maybe I’m blinded by the Aussie chick playing bubble hockey. She has on a pair of boots, short pants and a cowboy hat. The accent makes me want another Fosters.

Clear golden with a white head. Aroma of hay, some graininess. Sweetish grainy flavor with a more bitter finish. Light-bodied.

Drank it straight out of the oil can, so I really can’t describe what it looked like. It’s so big, you feel compelled to drink it in big gulps so it disappears in the same time as a 12 oz. A decent enough lager that it really isn’t a problem getting through it. Perfect on the golf course or around the barbecue.

Quite possibly the worst beer of all-time. Most pale lagers are pretty inoffensive, if nothing else, but this one is honestly like...rotted skunk pee, or something. I tried taking a few sips, but I spit them all out. Near the point of hurling, I had to save myself with some mouthwash before performing the inevitable drain pour.
