2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Can... Clear golden ale with a small, fluffy, white head. Long lasting tight retention. Minerally, metallic nose. Medium-bodied with lively carbonation. Metallic bitterness hardly buffers intense corn and cereal grain sweetness. Sweet finish.

UPDATED: FEB 24, 2006 Oil-can. Nice barley malt aroma. Amber color with big head. LIght malt and moderate hops flavor. Smells great but a let down with the flavor.

25.4oz oil can. Shared with friends at Eliís, enjoyed from a small styrofoam cup. Pretty good, one-finger khaki head. Light to medium body. Light, smoother carbonation. Not much flavor to this, but nothing too offensive about it. Lightly toasty, light caramel, light english-type hop. Light sweet taste. Pretty agreeable ale, I guess. Fine to share and washed my smoked turkey down with.

Thanks to my project manager for finding this in Alex, NC. Pours a deep shade of gold with huge, creamy head. Aroma of hopcit, honey, some florals. Tastes bready malty, with solid honey and hopcit elements at mid palate and an increasing sweetness as it finishes. Not bitter, but not bad.

2008-09-07. Dark amber body with a good sized foamy beige head and lace after a vigorous pour. (3+) Flavour is mild, light caramel malt and bitterness. Mild aroma, malt and cereals, muted hops. Average to light palate. Meh. Giant can from Downtown Wine & Spirits, Anchorage

1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
"sampled a can a while back: not horrid. some crisp hop bite but still a lot of generic corn flavor. no skunk present, which is a plus. not a bad lawnmower beer, but not a likely revisit. Canít remember the price, but the big can was cheap."

UPDATED: DEC 30, 2013 25.4 oz can. Clear orange-amber pour with a slightly spotty white head. Aroma and taste are light yeast, grain, and mild caramel. Far from good, but not offensive either.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
750 ml oil can. Pale amber beer with a thick, sticky off-white head. Aroma is fairly earthy and a bit dusty. A hint of peach and some caramel malts. Flavour is a bit grainy, but this is probably still the best of the Australian "bitters" that Iíve had.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20
25.4 oz. can from Kellerís IGA. Like the flagship Fosterís, I love the big cans. But thatís where the positives end on this one. Pours amber with a massive frothy eggshell head. I canít describe the aroma any better than the previous rater: "skunked malts." Maybe also some corn and artificial sweetness in the mix, too. I hated the flavor on this and choked down every gulp; it reminded me of malt liquor more than an EPA. Skunky, with a nasty booziness, some grain, corn, and hops, and also a rainwater-like flavor to make things even nastier. Light body, active carbonation. Skunky finish. I actually prefer the Fosterís Lager.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Can as shown. Pours a orange gold with thick frothy white head that last awhile. The aroma is wheat and corn malt. Similar flavor to the aroma with a skunky finish. A decent English pale ale from Fosters.
