| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 16, 2009 Clear gold color and a frothey white head. Slow carbonation from this oil can. A vegatable aroma like tomato or vegemite and a malt character that is chased by a slight hops. The flavor displays a vegetable taste to match the aroma. This Foster also shows a wheaty malt taste. Unfortunatley there is no great hops to balance the vege-malt. The palate is weak and flat. Overall this beer is an uneven and unspecial ale from a giant company that is famous for its big cans and a clean lager. thehurt01 (209), Denver, Colorado, USA

Aroma is mild with hints of rice, corn, and mild malts. Flavor is nothing like an EPA. Bitter and dry grass and malts at the start with a sweet and corny middle. Finishes clean with some light malts. light coppery brownish amber when poured into a coffee cup on the way home from golf... made a pit stop and picked up two fatties for $3!
immediate aroma of rice starch... put some koji in here and it would smell like cheap sake... lots of musty stink, spiciness? and florals/ethanol.
first thing initially noticed is that there is a very bitter finish. once that fades (get used to it?), there are notes of flowers, grain husks and underlying rice starch sweetness.
medium bodied and easy drinking once i warm up to the odd bitterness. 4/3/4/3/9/2.3
