NJBeerman013 (586), Trenton, New Jersey, USA May 20, 2008 Oil Can. Pours a decent shade of copper with a rather large, foamy head. This is where the good things stop with this beer. The aroma is a bit on the sweet side with a strong corn aroma predominating. The body is a bit thin, not much hop character, a strong tin note, and a bit of a soapy aftertaste/finish. Not very good, aside from looks.
Collint (325), Sylva, North Carolina, USA Aug 7, 2008 pours a copper color with a thin head. Aroma is malty with some notes of alcohol. kinda sweet maybee banana. its ok Signal61 (2), Florida, USA does not count Aug 7, 2008 This beer is quite more complex than its ancestor, the Foster’s lager; however, this is the only thing real good I can say about it. The aroma is metallic, something between sour orange and old brass. The taste is similar to the cheep force fermented brews like the Bud Hurricane or Steel reserve. It has a bit more malt than expected and finishes with a long after taste. Not horrible on a hot summer day, but mot something I will look for. CanIHave4Beers (173), Des Moines, Iowa, USA Aug 6, 2008 This one doesn’t get too awful many aroma points, it smells pretty strong but it basically smells metallic like aluminum and copper.... perhaps a bitter ought to have some hop bouquet?!?!?! The beer looks nice enough with a lively carbonation and a fluffy white head, the beer is transparent with a copper color. To comment on the taste... just because a beer is bitter, this does not necessarily make it a bitter. I’m not going to go out all out and say that this is undrinkable, in fact it is not too bad and reminds me a bit of a weak Oktoberfest style beer, with some very light fruity (ale-y) flavors. Generally speaking though, it is a fairly weak flavored beer, with a pretty watery weak palate to match. SuperDave70 (766), Arizona, USA Jul 31, 2008 Clear amber color pour with a thick foamy head that fizzes away slowly. Aroma of sweet malt and some hops. Flavor is similar, but with a light bitterness and a touch of hops on the finish. Really not bad. sfontain (500), Columbus, Ohio, USA Jul 31, 2008 Giant green can. Copper color; white, large, white, foamy head disappearing into a ring very quickly. Nose light citrus and grainy; slightly metallic. Flavor light, bready malt, more bitter than expected, but also metallic. Light mouthfeel. Beyond my expectations, which were pretty low. Overall, not terrible.
