A good example of the style, packing the great flavors of a Founders IPA into a sessionable beer

Appearance is a nice clear amber with a little haze and not much head. Nose is super floral and citrus--yum. Mouthfeel is thin to medium. Taste is a delightful hoppy bitter at first then a solid malt after taste as well. This has quickly become my current session ale of choice--it’s just delightful!

12 ounce bottle. Orange color, slightly bitter, fresh and floral, tangy. Medium bodied. Reminiscent of a sports drink. Mild and very good for casual summer drinking in the backyard in front of burning meat.

Orange tan transluscent pour with faint head. Great orange citrus and pine, a little light though. Salty bitter hop flavor initially. Flavor opens up with a woodsy saltiness. Nice bitter citrus finish. A great tasting very light IPA that could be drank for damn near all day. However, it is lighter and thus the flavors that are there, while good, are not strong enough to warrant a great rating.

Bottled 5/21/12. Appearance: clear, golden with white head. Aroma: citrus, citrus peel, floral, some yeast character. Taste: soft floral flavor, with very touch of bitterness and slightest hint of biscuit/yeast. Mouthfeel: very thin, watery, with low-mid carbonation. Overall: really weak. Not much flavor. Want to compare to 21st Amendment Bitter American and doesn’t touch it for session IPA.

12oz bottle courtesy of pellegjr - thanks Joey! Pours copper/gold with thin white head. Aroma is mango, grapefruit, pine, herbal notes, light citrus zest - so fresh! Taste is a beautiful mix of subtle tropical fruit, pine, and light malt sweetness; light summery body and a tasty hop zing to finish. I'd swim the Atlantic to be able to have this as a regular session ale!

Bottle:   Golden hued straw, clear, light carbonation, minimal white head, frothy, spotty lacing.   Seems like a fairly bright/fresh hop aroma.   Light citrus peel.   Spritzy, hoppy, citrusy, light pine, clean, bright, flavorful and not too bitter.   Reminds me of a robust Pale Ale, maybe Sierra Nevada.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   As it finishes, it has a lingering bitterness that needs some sweetness to balance it out.   Decent, but it needs more malt and more sweetness to really shine.   Thanks pailhead for the bottle!

Great nose on this: floral, grapefruit, strong but not intense. Pours an golden straw color. The flavor is a lot of hops with bits of citrus following through. Well balanced, and for an IPA, surprisingly easy to drink. Definitely a good pick up.

Pours a yellow gold. Aroma of fresh hops. Taste is slightly malt up front with a massively dry crispness at the finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
