2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle). As much as I like the concept of this low ABV brew, it falls short. Complexion is overly filtered with minimal head produced. The flavor is grapefruit but tinny and palate feels too thin. Far below this brewers standard. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle pour clear yellow. Nose pine, mango, papaya, and cattiness. Initial taste pine and grapefruit hops followed by a slightly odd flat sweetness. Thin body. Some bitterness in the mid palate. Fades quickly but is enjoyable. As described, you could drink a lot of these.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz. bottle. Fresh, floral and citric aroma with notes of grapefruit, orange, lemon, leafy herbs and a very faint background sweetness. Clear medium golden in color with an amber cast and a quickly fading head. Flavor profile is full of citrus and herbal tones and plenty of hop bitterness, with only a modicum of pale, grainy, lightly sweet malts in the background, but due to the lowered gravity and correspondingly lower IBUs, doesn’t come off as abrasive or over the top in any way. Mouthfeel is light and fairly well-carbonated, body is light-medium. Not much to it, just an easy going, light IPA, which is basically as advertised.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Taphouse/Queensway. Orange-golden-bronze. Almost no head. Drinks with a snappy, tart flavor, with a little bit of mandarin orange, grass, and fizz. Drinkable and light. (#4971, 4/4/2013)

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On draft at Greenwich Village Bistro, where it was called Session IPA, but I figured it was this since I have seen it around lately. This helped blow the blues off a lousy night that involved an unexpected expenditure and a dramatic confrontation with a family member. A dry, hoppy IPA with grapefruit pith flavor and a dash of lemon. Light, flavorful, and very good. Does Founders ever make a bad beer?

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Hoppy? Check. Crisp amber in color? Check. Slight white head? Check. This is an easy drinking IPA. Above average.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 ounce bottle - $1.99 at Total Wine & More in Kennesaw, Georgia.
Dating noted under neck label, though it is smudged.
Appearance: Pours a crystal clear, golden body with an inch (or more) head of agreeable, white foam.
Smell: Fragrantly hoppy nose, as one would expect, with notes of plump citrus fruits, florals, and a grassy, earthy tone where somebody cut the grass and ran down some wild onions in the yard. Very modest, restrained, lightly bready malts underneath.
Taste: Mildly malt, just a bit of breadiness and sweetish hint of cookie until the accumulating hop bitterness shoves it off the stage. Invitingly hoppy, with a floral, earthy, citrusly fruity character and more than ample bitterness. Maybe a hint of wild ramp. Juicy, bitterish, light-on-the-tongue finish.
Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium carbonation.
Overall: Brightly hoppy with a bitterness that was dominating but not overbearing or disagreeable.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear golden with a nice white head. The aroma is fresh and leafy hops with tinge of pine resin. On the palate, the hops blast you with a fresh grassy herbal flavor, but the malt backbone is a little bit weak. You can’t help the cognizance that this is a session beer. For what it is, it is well executed, but not exciting.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
12oz bottle from Premier Gourmet. Very clear, very bubbly brassy gold with a huge fluffy somewhat diminishing white bubbly head. Catty, resiny aroma, light tropical fruit, hardly any sweetness or alcohol presence - just about perfect, really, if restrained. Taste follows - catty, balanced, acidic, light alcohol. Light-to-average body, oily and slick, solid carbonation, quickish finish for something so pungent. Very nice - quite a lot like the new version of the Phillips Hop Circle IPA, but better balanced, not quite as rampantly catty.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Pours a crystal clear orange amber, sparkling in the sun. Small off-white head that dissipates with good lacing Aroma is very nice, reminiscent of Zombie Dust, grapefruit and a touch of pine. Flavor is somewhat harsher than Zombie, lightly sweet and light plus bitterness, with more pine notes present. Light bodied, but not watery. All in all a beer I would love to have ready access to on a hot summer day.
