355mL as "All Day IPA" thanks to mikem409. Super fresh bottle consumed two weeks after bottling! Pours clear, correctly filtered and non bottle conditioned orangish gold with lower carbonation and a medium, white, rocky head. Suddy lace. Nose is fresh orange juice, light mango, Valencia orange, sweet mangosteen, lemon zest, herbal hops, candied tamarind. Mild waffle and pancake sugary malt quality. Taste is quit old school- rich biscuity and full with faux diacetyl ending with sharp, herbal hops and juicy orange. No true diacetyl. Finish is super clean and light with hints of herbal soapiness and quenching saltwater. So good for 4.7% and bonus points for that. My sick girlfriend said it tasted like "grandma’s biscuits with hops." Terrific session beer. Thank the lord for this!

"All Day IPA". 12 oz bottle. Bottled on 12/26/11. It pours a light, clear orangeish amber with a foamy white head that quickly dissipates with no lacing. The smell is pretty good. There is a lot more grain than your typical IPA, but it is pleasant. There is a tangy fruitiness as well in the aroma. The flavor is decent. Definitely more malt-oriented. It tastes like pretzel and grain with a touch of pine in the aftertaste but it is by no means bitter. Grapefruit comes in as you go. I am confused why this is an IPA, more of a standard pale ale.

Growler...pours a very clear golden color with a thick, foamy white head...decent lacing. Aroma is fresh and floral...citrus...pineapple and grapefruit...just a bit doughy. Flavor has some pale malt and some spicy grapefruit notes...more spicy than the aroma suggests...tasty. mouthfeel is light and lively and the finish is dry and bitter with spicy grapefruit. Flavor reminds me a bit of a lighter version of sculpin...nice for a lighter IPA!

UPDATED: MAR 2, 2012 Bottle @ home, courtesy of drfabulous. Thanks Jeff!! A touch hazy, golden orange appearance with a white head that dissipates pretty quickly. Big resiny, piney, ganja, clean pale malty aroma. Tangy, fairly bitter, ganja/resiny hoppy flavor with a sticky, piney finish.

On draft at the brewpub. Clear and coppery with no head but a small ring. A soft pine nose. The flavor is very subtle and cascades over the tongue but with gentle waves. Light floral hops with rye, citrus and caramel. This is nice and sessionable. Bitterness is the biggest thing here. I like it.

Growler as Founder’s All Day IPA thanks to womencantsail. Pours with a clear old body with a smallish off-white head. Aroma is huge, big time grapefruit and citrus hop character. Lightly dank. Minimal malt. Clean. Flavors of tea, grapefruit, tangerine. Fruity, bready, estery. Lively bubbles. Dry. A bit of papaya on the back end. Quite well done!

A: The beer pours light amber in color with a tall white head and some nice lacing. S: A really good aroma to this. Nice pine notes as well as some citrus (grapefruit). There’s a bit of biscuit malts along with mild grass and some herbal hops. Very resinous and oily. T: Mild toffee flavor and sweetness on the flavor. Plenty of grass and pine hop notes, but not quite as much citrus. Just a bit of grapefruit peel and a pretty decent bitterness. M: Medium bodied with a medium carbonation. O: Really great nose on this. The flavor isn’t quite as good, but it’s still enjoyable and at sub-5%, really easy to drink.

Churchkey, DC 16oz ($6.50): Pours a golden-copper color with a nice white head. Aroma is of piny hops and a bit of citrus, although this barely gives it justice, because the aroma is pretty great. Taste however seems to be a little watered down (I know, I know low ABV, but to me that is not an excuse). All the great flavors from the aroma are still there, but not enough perhaps. Basically, I think this is a beer with a great flavor profile, but an imperfect execution.
