3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap at Katy Brewfest. I was skeptical of this one at first because I didnít believe that a sessionable IPA with low alcohol could still pack in the pine and citrus tones that I love. I was wrong. This was the biggest surprise Iíve had in a long time. Itís so drinkable and smooth, retaining the citrus grapefruity standard that I went back for more, and would drink it regularly if I could. Great job with this one, Founders.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Tap @ CBC 2013.
Pours clear golden with a nice, medium, creamy, white head. Aroma is nice, resiny, peach, apricot, quite crisp malts. Mild doughy. Medium to high carbonation, light and very dry mouthfeel. Flavour is fairly simple, but extremely well made. Crisp, sharp maltiness with citric, piney and apricot bitterness. Lingering resiny finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 16/20
Orange gold with some lacing. Very grass clipping green nose at first that becomes more resinous. Fairly bitter grapefruit mostly on palate. Needs more malt but I guess that is the price you pay to get under 5%. Fine but too bitter for me to think about sessioning.

Bottle from Market Street in McKinney. Pours a nice copper color with a thin white head. The aromas are grapefruit, pine, resin. The mouthfeel is slightly watery with a bitterness and light body. The was definitely a tasty session IPA which is hard to find. Well done. Cheers!

Fairly plain IPA... had out of a bottle poured into a pint glass. Had some sort of weird taste that I couldnít figure out.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks zvikar. Hazy golden. Hoppy aroma, citric and piney, with a bit of tropical notes. Flavor has a bit of maltiness, fruity and piney hops and a bitter finish. Medium-bodied. Good and refreshing.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured on this Motherís Day from tap, it has bright golden orange in color with an off white head and low carbonation. My allergies are going wild today, so my palate is jacked right now. I canít pull anything out of the aroma, but my wife can. She detects hops... Grapefruit in character with a touch of a green forest. I started to taste something, but then I just didnít. Ana says itís piney and resinous with grain in the finish and a residual softness of malty sweetness in the jowls Her tongue curled up. My taste buds are jacked, but that shouldnít affect my mouthís reaction.
Itís very soft in the mouth, smooth, and - yes - very sessionable, with just enough residual sugars to keep this beer weighed down so it doesnít fly away. The first flavor that I notice is a slight bitterness in the finish, but then some very light caramel sweetness makes itself known to take a chip at the bitter bite of the beer. I wish I could taste this better, but I just cant. I can tell that it likely has a nice hop profile, though. A pineapple-like acidity makes me think tropical thoughts, making this as refreshing as a snow cone on a hot summer day. Nice. Yeah, I could drink this all day. Even with allergies.
