My first Session IPA. I fell in love with this ale right away. I never would have imagined that a beer could have the taste of a West Coast IPA with the alcohol content of a lager. Hopheads don’t lose out on anything with this brew. It offers all the color, bitterness, and aroma of a more traditional IPA. This ale smells of grapefruit and there’s a hint of grassy hops. As you’d expect, citrusy hops steal the show with lemon, orange, and of course, grapefruit. Yet, the sweet, biscuit-like malts keep the bitterness at a tolerable level. Mouthfeel is crisp and smooth. All Day IPA made my day without impairing my judgment.

Bärnstensfärgad med mellanstort ljust skum. Doftar friskt av amerikansk humle! Endel humle i smaken men väldigt blaskig! Är ju inte så konstigt med tanke på 4.7%

On tap at the Kernels stadium. A golden beer with a yellowish head.. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, hops, and straw, leading to a bitter finish. Good easy-drinking beer.

Bottle at Sin é Dublin. Light amber with medium visible carb and almost no head. Aroma of fruits. The taste is bittersweet throughout the profile. Nice aftertaste. Nice

Bottle @ 3 Wise Monkeys, Todmorden. Amber coloured, not much head. Dry hopped with a recognisable pale ale texture that’s very dry in character.

Pour - deep gold. Med head. Aroma - slight citrus. Mouth - high carb. Taste - strange hop flavor. Good taste. Good fake IPA. Not as strong in smooth hop flavor like a real IPA. Overall - great session.

Founders All Day IPA has a fairly thick, foamy, off-white head, a somewhat hazy (suspended sediment), bubbly, burnished gold appearance, and a bit of residual lacing. Aroma is pineapple, hop resin, and white bread. Taste is the same, with moderate bitterness. Mouthfeel is light and watery, and Founders All Day IPA finishes semi-dry, easy drinking, and refreshing. Overall, an excellent example of a ho-hum style. Elevated price and disappointing presentation, in the overall scheme of things. RJT

Lovely grapefruity aroma right from the pour, in the glass there are some nice sweet light biscuity malts. Nice gold, brief tight off-white head. Clean palate, not too sticky, not too watery. Tasty - just some light malt backbone, and plenty of citrussy grapefruity hops. Finish just gently resiny, a little sweet. Slips down easily, could session this, and this would definitely quench my thirst on a hot day. Nice golden bitter.

Can pour to compare to bottle. Sunshine yellow with white head. Aroma is huge notes of citrus. Just an outstanding beer. Not to bitter with just the right amount of hop. A true companion for these upcoming summer months. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

(backlog, retrieved from lost notes 2013) Tap at source, MI 09/2013. Poured an expectedly thin bright gold with quickly vanishing head. Floral nose, with inviting lemongrass and light pineapple notes. Taste is thinner than expected, reiterating some of the pine and lemon notes, gone in a very quick finish. Not sure whether it was the keg that night, but given high expectations, ratings and a dire need for more flavoursome light IPAs, this failed to impress and did not invite our group to much sessioning. To be revisit from bottle... (note: very reminiscent of a few Störtebeker Atlantik Ale, entry level sessioner).
