Had it on tap at Moody’s Pub in Chicago. Pours a clear amber copper hue with a medium head. The aroma is a floral hop delight and the taste is solidly delicious bitter hop IPA.

My Bottom Line:
Citrusy hops and their spicy greenness (very sage-like!) dally within a lean, bubbly mouthfeel brushed by lightly honeyed malts.

Further Personal Perceptions:
-A fleeting head of foam finally settles atop the misty golden.
-The spicy hop profile is also reminiscent of citrusy thyme and lemongrass.
-The finish is relatively dry and just a tad bitter.
-Carbonation’s a bit too prickly for my tastes.
-This is the kind of brew the British have been doing extremely well for a while now. If you like this Founders’ brew, you should love most hoppy Golden Ales brewed in the UK.

Bottles.

Not a lot of lacing but a very good aroma. Pretty bitter which I’m a fan of. Overall a pretty good beer

A hazy golden beer with a small white head. The aroma is great, a lot of yeast and tropical fruit. The flavor is fruity with pine and resin. Easy drinking and delicious.

12 oz bottle in a trade with watson1977. Can’t seem to find a bottle date on this one. It pours a nice golden orange color with a shrinking off white head. The aroma has some nice citrusy and mildly piney hops with a somewhat bready and lightly caramalt background. The flavor is brightly hoppy with citrus, melon and some more spicy hops toward the finish. Just a hint of caramel malt for balance does not detract from the hop forward flavor profile. Potent bitter finish, but not overbearing. Easy drinker, obviously. Really nice session beer. I’d love to get a case of this stuff.

After driving home for several hours I figured I deserved a few beers to relax so decided to head over to draught 55. Pours clear gold with nice white head. Nose of dank hops. Tastes of grapefruit, resin, other citrus, and pine. Straight up ipa but great mouthfeel and nice

Draft at Sweetgrass Dairy. Clear golden pour with a bubbly white head. Very citrusy and piney hop nose with lighter malt character. Flavor is very hop forward but not so bitter as it packs more citrus to it. Clean easy drinking body and very crushable.
