Can at John Salt, Islington on 31 May. Poured a clear golden colour, with a white head. Aroma of caramel, grass and some herbal notes. Toffee malt on the initial flavour, mixed with some citrus hop and a woody element. Finish was slightly musky, with some straw and pine.

Pours a cloudy golden color. the aroma is citrus and grapefruit in your face, some pine. The flavor is citrus, and grapefruit all the way through, i dont depict any other flavors, but pine as it goes down. leaving a lingering flavor. Overall this is a nice light beer with an ipa flavor.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
(Bottle) Hazy golden amber with little head. Plenty of aroma, primarily pine, but with quite a lot more going on including citrus and floral. Very interesting and inviting. Light body with moderate carbonation. Taste presents some difficulties, because in some respects it is rather thin and watery, and in others it’s got a very decent hoppy bitterness. It starts wet and thin with a little malt and some restrained but pleasant hoppy bitterness. The hoppy bitterness builds in the finish and is quite crisp but also a little harsh. Overall this is a strange beer. I understand what they are doing, and they have done it quite well. However, for me, it doesn’t work; it sort of feels hollowed out - presumably because the malty body and the alcohol are substantially reduced.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Aroma is pine and citrus. Flavor is very mild with a strong citrus piney hop flavor with very light bitterness. Very little malt backbone which works well with the style of IPA.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
UPDATED: MAY 31, 2014 Not a fan, watered down and bitter, waste of my money. I understand what they are trying to do, but the flavor is just way too far off to be considered a decent IPA.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle from Svijet Piva - wasn’t expecting to crack this one open, but I felt it’s been in my fridge for way too long - enough to provoke freshness concerns, and we’ll get other bottles for the tastings anyway to rerate. Anyway. Fuller golden/amber body than I expected, medium white head that didn’t stay long. Lovely fruity aroma, tropical fruit, elder, sweet, perhaps malty underneath, turns slightly citric (though still in elder range). IPAs like this one are always a joy to smell. Ah, yeah, elder again, vaguely citric. Yeah, the body’s a bit thin, just some shades above watery near the finish but not excessively so, even if only just. Fine bitterness, some pine I guess. Soft, light maltiness. The aftertaste builds up but doesn’t overdo it. Ah, it’s definitely a good beer. Definitely not an everyday beer with the price it has here, but I wouldn’t mind having it again, more fresh.

Flaske 0,355l fra Kilpishalli. Gyldenbrun. Ok skum som varer en stund. Litt lacing. God aprikos/ananas-aroma. Smaken det samme - men blir litt vassen. Litt tørr avslutning.
