Pale Orange Color, Medium Head, Did not Last Too Long, Decent Lacing. Nice Floral Pine Aroma. Bland , Semi Sour with Pine Hop Bitter Finish. Way over carbonated and watery, as if someone mixed seltzer water with IPA. Since it is watery, it lacks features that most IPAs share:slight sweetness, Fruity Grapefruit or Citrus, Medium Buttery Like Body with Malty Backbone. Don’t get me wrong, it is drinkable but hard to enjoy. If you want to quaff it as a session ale, you have to wait and let carbonation fizz away. Lasting bitter aftertaste but to my surprise, citrus sourness lasted even longer. Yet another Founders Brew that seems to be overrated. Worth a try, but I’ll reach for something else next time...

Bottle (Stockholm Beer Festival 2013) - Amber in colour. Pine, toffee, grapefruit and apricot in the aroma. Crisp, hoppy and tangy taste with grapefruit, pine, toffee and fudge detected. It’s good to see American breweries doing beers around this strength.

On tap at ACLfestival. Citrus, tropical fruit aroma. Mineral taste overpowering other aspects, no caramel, light citrus taste. Light mouthfeel and dry finish.

Frisk humle. Oklart vad det är för datum på den men den måste vara pigg. Lättdrucken ale. Riktigt bra. Där slutar anteckningarna...SBWF 2013

Many thanks to ThirstyBird for bringing this beer from the US! Orange in the glass with a white head. Great fruity smell like peaches, apricots, white grapes. The beer starts nicely bitter with lots of fruity aromas, coming to a peak between the main part and the aftertaste. Like a blast. Bitterness is overwhelmed by the fruity hop flavours, but they are not as intense as in their smell. The aftertaste is long, intense (peaches, nice bitterness) and quite dry for an IPA (what I appreciate). No malty aroma interfering and disturbing the nice hop aroma. --> Great beer!! --> 14/12/14/14

It is nice having an IPA that’s also a session - this could be nice on a hot day. But I found the hops a tad soapy and overall not super impressed - but then, I’m not too big a fan of IPAs, and the person I offered a sip to enjoyed it more. Not bad, but not one I need to have again.

A very clean and fruity nose. Some citrusy bitterness initiallywhich then gives way to soft malts. There is a lingering, hollow bitterness, which I frequently find in session ales, and is really my least favorite aspect of them. Good flavours but the mouthfeel is lacking.

Bottle from Whole Foods Market, Kensington, London. An orange/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, pine, citrus aroma. Tastes hoppy, citrus, pine, slightly malty and slightly bitter. This was almost in the Kernel mould, very much an all day IPA. Enjoyable.
