4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a lightly hazy golden amber with a a small bubbly white head that left sticky lacing. Aroma of piney, floral and citrusy hops. Pretty much a hop bomb when fresh! Flavor of herbal, pine and citrusy hop notes and cereal grains.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
This beer’s color is golden yellow with a very slight head, and the aroma reminds me of spruce and floral hops. The taste is quite bitter, slightly salty, and slightly sour; furthermore, the palate combines a bitter finish, soft carbonation, medium body, sticky texture, which is typical for an IPA despite how unpleasant I think it is to drink a beer that tastes like I licked the sap/resin of hops.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden amber color with a whitish head. Hoppy, earthy, hints pf citrus and pepper. Light and crisp, but punchy and definitely not thin. Very nice for a lower alcohol IPA.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Really fresh tasting IPA! Citrussy taste. Fruity and not too sweet. Hoppy enough. Small head, almost no head at all after couple of minutes. Would be percect on a hot summer day though.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Clear orange color with very thin white head that puddles across the surface. Heavy piney hops on the nose. Taste is piney and floral hops with some cereal background. Thin body, very drinkable. This would serve well on a hot summer day.

I guess session beers are 4.7 percent now. Sigh. Criticism for the marketing of this as a "senses-sharp" beer aside, let’s discuss the aromatics, the bright hops, the sticky fruit and pine, and the long caramel and bread malt finish. This is not a beer for the proletariat. Founders is dreaming if they think the working man gets this. But for the good-beer man who wants a daytime tipple, this is a nice and rather refreshing option.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Aromas of pine resin, nutmeg-like herbal tones, zesty lime, and bread crust. Clear copper with a mostly fading, off-white head. Dry, quite bitter, and minimally grainy, with hints of rye-like spiciness. Light-medium body, moderately low carbonation, very clean, and finishes dryly with lingering pine and spice. More bitter than I anticipated, with only 42 IBUs, though the combination of freshness and low ABV are probably bringing out all the alpha acids in full force. Glad this one finally hit VA!

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle from a case I got at Frank Smith’s. Pours a yellow to slight orange with weak large bubbled head that fades fast save a light ring around the side of the glass. nose is slight mild citrus and sweet orage jello, first sip is nice clean and bright mild hoppy flavors, finish with refreshing citrus bitterness that lingers nicely. fun beer

Aroma is a nice citrusy fruity scent, with a light hop scent. Flavor is a toned down citrusy flavor, the hops are slightly present. For the style of beer this is, it’s very good. If you want an all nighter beer this should be your beer.
