This is a great option for a hot weather, beach sittin, lawn mowin, baseball watchin beer. Not as powerful as other ipa's, but that does not mean this isn't flavorful. - Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a dark gold, minimal head and lacing. Bit of a floral nose, and the hop flavor definitely leans to the floral side. Crisp, dry finish. If I was expecting a huge IPA, I'd be disappointed. However, the idea is that this is a session IPA, and keeping that in mind I think they delivered a good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12oz bottle. Pours a light golden with a white head. It would be easy to mistake this as just another average IPA but if you take into account the extremely low ABV this is really an amazing beer. It’s not spectacular but it truly is a good session beer.

I am not an IPA fan, but this was one of the smoothest and easiest to handle. Nice crisp bite and the hops weren’t overbearing. Founders always delivers.

Sampled on draft at 3R6P this beer poured a dark golden color with a medium sized foamy white head that left a bit of lacing. The aroma was faint dryish floral/fruity hops. The flavor was dryish and bitter wtih faint floral hops and a touch of fruity hops. Not much depth and no malt presence. Medium dry floral hop finish. Light body. Underwhelming.

(Bottle). As much as I like the concept of this low ABV brew, it falls short. Complexion is overly filtered with minimal head produced. The flavor is grapefruit but tinny and palate feels too thin. Far below this brewers standard. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle pour clear yellow. Nose pine, mango, papaya, and cattiness. Initial taste pine and grapefruit hops followed by a slightly odd flat sweetness. Thin body. Some bitterness in the mid palate. Fades quickly but is enjoyable. As described, you could drink a lot of these.

12oz. bottle. Fresh, floral and citric aroma with notes of grapefruit, orange, lemon, leafy herbs and a very faint background sweetness. Clear medium golden in color with an amber cast and a quickly fading head. Flavor profile is full of citrus and herbal tones and plenty of hop bitterness, with only a modicum of pale, grainy, lightly sweet malts in the background, but due to the lowered gravity and correspondingly lower IBUs, doesn’t come off as abrasive or over the top in any way. Mouthfeel is light and fairly well-carbonated, body is light-medium. Not much to it, just an easy going, light IPA, which is basically as advertised.

Draft at Taphouse/Queensway. Orange-golden-bronze. Almost no head. Drinks with a snappy, tart flavor, with a little bit of mandarin orange, grass, and fizz. Drinkable and light. (#4971, 4/4/2013)

On draft at Greenwich Village Bistro, where it was called Session IPA, but I figured it was this since I have seen it around lately. This helped blow the blues off a lousy night that involved an unexpected expenditure and a dramatic confrontation with a family member. A dry, hoppy IPA with grapefruit pith flavor and a dash of lemon. Light, flavorful, and very good. Does Founders ever make a bad beer?
