From note. Draft at olympic. Loads of citrus and pine. A bit watery but thats ok in this case. Perfect for drinking in the sun. Probably the best lawnmower ipa ive ever had.

On tap at Global Brew. Pours a clear golden with a respectable white head. Aroma is grapefruit. Taste is sweet pale malt, some breadiness and a pretty good dose of hop bitterness with grapefruit up front. Very good, but a bit more hops than I would expect from a session ale.

All Day pours a golden orange yellow with an off white head. The aroma is a mix if citrus and floral hops. The flavor follows suite with a hint of caramel. Overall this is a nice session IPA for those that prefer to drink several and want some good flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

The beer is golden yellow with a small white head. The aroma brings citrus and pine hops. Light in body and sufficiently bitter. A bit watery and certainly refreshing. A nice brew to toss back on a hot day.

UPDATED: JUN 6, 2013 I poured a 12oz bottle into a tulip glass. It was bottled on 2/11/13 making it two and a half months old.

Appearance: Golden/light orange hue. Slightly hazy. Forms a small, white, soapy head which mostly dissolves and leaves minor lacing on the glass.

Smell: Light "cat pee" and a general tropical fruit scent. A hint of spice, too.

Taste: Iím not really sure if Founders All Day IPA can truly be considered an IPA. It has a fairly prominent hop character, but the body is a bit too light. Itís more accurately described as a hoppy pale ale, but since this beer is intentionally lighter in body and sessionable, Iíll let it slide.

Whatís nice is you get genuine hop taste here, not just bitterness. I couldnít find a listing of the hops used but Iím guessing Simcoe, Amarillo, Cascade and possibly Summit. Thereís an interesting combination of tropical fruit flavor, along with a hint of garlic and some pine. The bitterness isnít too strong, but it certainly is noticeable (42 IBUs according to the bottle). Thereís an ubiquitous earthy/piney character making it rather complex as far as the hop profile goes. Not much in the way of malt, though, just a standard pale ale base without much sweetness or distinct character. Though a bit simplistic, it all adds up to a surprisingly satisfying beer.

Drinkability: Founders All Day IPA has a sub-heading of "session ale" on the label, which tells me exactly what this beer is intended to do. Though plenty flavorful, itís never too intense which makes it quite drinker-friendly. The mouthfeel is on the thinner side with a smooth finish and relatively clean aftertaste. I wouldnít consider it to be truly refreshing, though, due to the earthy/herbal hop profile. At 4.7% ABV, this is one of the few IPA(ish) beers you can drink in large quantities without getting bored or overwhelmed.

On tap, served in pint glass. light hazy, light gold color, short head, some lacing. Hoppy, and mild bitterness. Citrus, sweet, a little caramel in there I guess. Somewhat light for me.

Smell and taste a lot of lemon and pepper. An easy drinking IPA...smooth and sessionable. Not remarkable...something slightly off here but can't put my finger on it. Plenty of better IPAs for the price ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Usually the hop head scoffs at so called session IPAís. Founders doesnít make bad beers, and this is no exception. Strong grapefruit scent. Light orange color. Flavor is kind of on the lite side: bitter fruit juice mainly. Most notably, however, is the smoothness of the body. You really could drink these all day. Unsure what to make of it, as the target audience is priced out and wouldnít know what to make of it anyway, while Founderís usual clientele will be left looking for the bitter pain.
