Drought. Tasted on 20 March 2013. Rich yellow color, beige foamy big head, hops aroma, balanced bittersweet hoppy taste with a hint of lavender aroma, low carbonation, long lavender finish (sounded like John D.MacDonald :)

Bottle poured into tulip glass. Appearance is golden with an orange tint and very little head. Aroma is lovely citrus (grapefruit and tangerine) scent. Taste, however, is less citrus and more pine. The pine is actually a little overwhelming. Not a bad taste, but a bit disappointing after the wonderful aroma.

From a 12 oz bottle shared with Ryan. Pours a hazy dark gold with an off white head. Aroma of citrus and strawberry. Somewhat grassy and thin, but still flavorful with lots of hop character. Bitter finish.

Finally available in NJ. A very tasty IPA for the low alcohol. Maybe the best of it’s kind.I could get used to this.

Bottle. Pours a clear golden amber with a thin soapy off-white head. Aroma is sweet, resinous floral hops. Very aromatic. Grassy, floral flavor with a nice mild hop bitterness and lighter body. The grassy freshness of this make for a refreshing crisp drinker. Great session IPA that packs a lot of flavor in to those 4.7%. I"ll be buying this regularly.

Bottle: Golden pour with a thick white frothy head. aroma is huge fruity grapefruit, apple and pine. flavour is bright fruity and pine hop with a light almost biscuity pale malty background. Lacks a bit in body IMO. Still very drinkable.

[bottle] Potent US hops aroma with some sweet caramel to complement the pine and citrus. Clear copper under a white ring. Sweet caramel malt flavour with some lemony, bitter grapefruit in perfect balance with sweetness. Moderate fruitiness and a dry finish that is a bit mineral watery. Medium body, medium carbonation, almost clean finish.

Location: Draft at 4th Ave Pub, 3/16/13

Aroma: The nose of this beer has fresh pine, some citrus, resin, and crystal/caramel malts
Appearance: This one pours a clear golden color with a fairly small white head
Flavor: The flavor is light-medium sweet, noticeable malts, and a clean, medium bitter, hop finish
Palate: The body is light-medium, it is quite clean and easy to drink with a medium dry finish
Overall Impression: First off, I’m still a fan of this whole Session IPA movement, and if they start canning some of these I’ll be even happier. As for this one in particular, I thought it was solid, but it wasn’t the standout I wanted it to be. Still though, it is another really good beer from Founders, and something I could certainly drink All Day. I bet this is Adrian Peterson’s favorite beer.
