3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Hazy gold, frothy white head, large bubbled. Metallic oily nose, bit of caramel. Flavor of light caramel, orange, and lightly old pine, hops but unfresh. Thin, undercarbonated body. Cheesy end.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. This is a classic upper-tier IPA. Nithing new or mind blowing, but the hop / caramle malt / grapefruit blend is near perfection. A nice floral sensation. I like it.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Had this at Ratebeer’s Horny Devil Pittsburgh Winter Tasting 2012. Lots of IPA aroma on the bottle pop. First taste is lots of IPA flavor but it lacks much of the bitterness so common with most IPA. Yes, an IPA that is not so rude! I can appriciate this beer and found it rather palatable. This comes from a taster who hates IPA. So, I’m not sure how much a true IPA lover can appreciate this brew. Got to be one of the most civilized IPA I have had in a while.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
This poured a lighter orange color with a white head. Aroma was lots and lots of citra hop notes. Troopical and herbal mostly. Flavor was much the same, only light bitterness, but tons of hop flavor and the palate was perfect, very refreshing without being watery. Wish his was avaialable in PA, this would be my go to session beer.

3.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Golden-brownish appearance. Weak aroma, slight roasty and floral notes. Weak overall flavor, slightly sweet with a bitter finish.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at Blacklick Wine & Spirits during the Curmudgeon’s Better Half tasting and raffle on 2/25/12. Pours a clear gold color with a thin white head. Aroma of citrus, pine, grass and a bit of malt. Piney and malty flavor up front before an oniony and grassy hop finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thin white cap thats short lived, little lace. Clear, copper hued brew. Nose is light, fruity with peaches, oranges, grass and a hint of pale malts. Body is light, nice carbonation, some pocket change, easy. Dry malt flavors, biscuity and lil grainy followed by a slight hop poke, lil citrus, light pine, faint metallic notes that are ok. Dry, lightly fruity finish. Very nice quaffer at a session-able ABV. Wish it was available to me. Props to WeisGuy for the trade!

3.8 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle. Has a yellow color that is very similar to the piss you will take the following morning. A very strong hoppy aroma that i feel does come through in the overall taste as well, but this bitterness is noticed later as this will stick to the palate like glue. Not the best thing Founders has to offer, but if available to you, I would recommend this beer for your next session.

3.6 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle. Smells like a double IPA but goes down like a light beer. Overall smells better than it tastes. Truly a sessionable IPA.
