Criticism for the marketing of this as a "senses-sharp" beer aside, let’s discuss the aromatics, the bright hops, the sticky fruit and pine, and the long caramel and bread malt finish. This is not a beer for the proletariat. Founders is dreaming if they think the working man gets this. But for the good-beer man who wants a daytime tipple, this is a nice and rather refreshing option.

All day ipa, exactly that. Smell of pure pine and grapefruit, light copper pour with white head. Nice clean hop taste of pine and citrus. Good stuff again from founders.

355ml bottle from Appellation Wines. Pours golden with a cloudy orange tinge. The bubbles are steady and the head is quite proportional and attractive. The nose is grapefruit and orange. The taste is grapefruit with a green tomato stalk or nettles thing on the finish. I think the carbonation on this is the maximum that I’d prefer. Overall, a good American pale ale possibly on the limit of bitterness for my preference.

Bottle. Pours a thin head, orange body, quite a clean, grapefruity aroma, sweet light hop taste with a very dry finish; quite an easy going session beer; does what it says on the tin. Not bad!

Pour: Dark gold pour with a medium-sized white head.
Aroma: Pine, citrus hops aroma dominate along with some dankness on the nose.
Flavor: Citrus hops dominate the flavor, maybe a tad of floral taste as well. The bitterness is missing but doesn’t take away from the brew.

My recommendation: A go to beer for the summer for sure. A great concept, and they come through by providing a very tasty sessionable beer.

Strong aroma of pine with hints of floral. Pours a clear golden amber with a rapidly dissipating off-white head and no lacing. The taste is grapefruit with some floral notes. Medium body with medium carbonatin. Overall, the name says it all, yes you could drink this one all day.

Draught @ CBC 2013. Amber coloured. Unclear. Small beige head. Aroma: Herbs, light flowers, caramel, some sweetness and citrus. Flavour. Tropical fruits, flowers, sweetness, light grape, caramel and herbs. Medium to full bdodied. Ends herbal bitter and dry. Nice drinking.

Not blown away, but then again it’s a classy lawnmower beer. Not as hoppy and full-bodied as Hill Farmstead’s Edward, which remains the standard bearer for me for session IPAs.
