355ml can. Slightly hazy orange colour with a small one-two finger frothy white head, slight retention but no lacing. Aroma is typically hoppy, piney, citrus, grass. Taste is the same, hops, pine, citrus, grapefruit, malt sweetness. Lingering mild bitterness but well balanced. Decent carbonation, good mouthfeel. Could definitely session this.

UXO (1286) - CANADA - MAY 13, 2016
Appearance: clear pale gold with one finger of creamy off-white head, good retention and patchy lacing. (3/5) Aroma: resiny pine, pithy citrus, pale malt, light tropical fruit. (8/10) Taste: moderate sweet, moderate-high bitter. (8/10) Medium-light body tending to watery, moderate carbonation, lingering moderately bitter finish. (3/5) Starts off promising with a decently hoppy presence at the outset. However, the light body definitely tends to the watery, and this becomes more and more pronounced as the pint progresses. Ultimately the bitterness comes across as being a little too sharp for the thin underlying body, even though it’s not all that bitter in absolute terms. Definitely does not improve as it warms, and is best drunk quickly, before that happens. (15/20)

UPDATED: MAY 17, 2016 All pine with citrus and some grassy notes on the nose. This beer sets the bar for all under-five per cent brews, though there have been a few worthy challengers in recent years. Beautifully balanced.

UPDATED: MAY 12, 2016 tap at fado chicago. nice piney, grassy smell. almost like a xmas tree. taste continues strong resin pine. carbon is strong. a bit too much for drinkability. lingering aromas are again intense pine with may mango somewhere hidden. intense session. although slight "unfinished" taste of low alc beers is recognizable.

Bottle, a few months old. I’ve had this many times, and consider it the paradigmatic session IPA. It has great balance, nice bitterness and some light malt sweetness. Dominant notes are grapefruit, pine, caramel, and grass. A lovely beer with full flavor and abv under 5%. Best consumed in quantity during the day.

Golden appearance, floral & citrus aroma, taste of pine & hops with minimal carbonation. Very tasty, moderate session ale.

Bottle poured into a New Belgium globe glass. A nice clear amber color with a small off white head. A little bit of everything in the aroma. Pine, grass, grapefruit...all there. Everything is there in the taste as well along with a little malty sweetness. Aftertaste doesn’t linger. Lively carbonation that doesn’t sting and a good medium body. GREAT beer that you can drink a few of and not even think twice!

Pours a nice deep golden color. Aromas of hops/citrus. Medium hop flavors with malts and a dry finish. Easy drinking, would be a good session beer.
