Bottle poured into a pint glass. Pours a light orange/gold with a finger-width of white head on top. Light retention. The nose is bursting with citrus and pine needles! Sharp and inviting aroma. The mouth is crisp and clean. Easy finish. This beer starts out with a nice bitter smack, but this hesitates and finishes with a sweet citrus flavor of orange and tangerine. Well balanced. This cures my craving for the bitterness, but is also quite refreshing and easy to consume. Not the standard for IPAs no doubt, but this one holds its own while also taking on some characteristics of a "sessioner" - lighter ABV, clean, tasty. I liked it.

Can BBE: 21/3/15. Intense aromas of tropical/citrus fruits, particularly pineapple, grapefruit and even a hint of coconut. Some pine. Hazy deep golden body with a loose white head. Well-balanced, medium sweetness and bitterness. Very light-bodied, slight stickiness, but mostly watery texture. Medium carbonation and a short finish. Extremely quaffable session IPA.

The pine is overpowering for my taste. Not at all what I expected. Glad I opted for the 6 pack, rather than the 15 pack of cans.

Aroma: grapefruit, pine and resin. Appearance: hazy golden color, whife head. Taste: high bitterness ( pine and resin ), citrus and herbal notes, dry. Palate: low body and medium carbonation, bitter finish. Overall: very good stuff, easy drinking and enjoying.

bottle - Pours clear yellow-orange with very little head. It has a pleasant aroma that includes citrus and floral notes. The flavor is moderately bitter. A touch of citrus is joined by a mild pine character and easy going malts. Itís light bodied and bitterness lingers on the palate. Itís fairly good but Iíve not found any of the session IPAs as tasty as a good regular IPA.

malty, light well balanced session IPA, but not in perfect shape. I drank this in Italy, so I assume Founders doesnít know how to keep their beer in good condition overseas.

Tap at Fermentoren. Pours a nice, clear, light amber with a small, white head. Aroma has pleasent hop bitterness and a bit of exotic fruits. A little bit of stable/horse in a non-funky, but more grainy way. A bit of herbs and weed too. Taste is pretty bitter up front, followed by a small, watery malt sweetness. A weak hop-fruityness here, but not much. I donít know how fresh this is, but it seems a little weak in the hops, and pretty watery in the body. Medium carbonation.

Bottle 35,5 cl. Subtle, citrusy hops in the nose. Light body, but never watery or anything. Usual biscuity US-style malt bill, slightly caramellish but with enough balancing hops at all times. Dry and lightly bitter finish. Easygoing and pleasant. 230914

Bottle from Merchants, Rugby. Had this before but first time rating. Nice grapefruit aroma, some tropical in there too. Taste is grapefruit, low bitterness with a slightly sour end. A touch watery but still some spiciness present. I see the idea. Not bad.

I have had this several times, but for some reason didnít rate it. Here goes: A clear light golden brew with a frothy white head that settles to a thin lace. Very nice aromas, citrus, bread, floral and spice. Body is light and somewhat fizzy. Flavor is good, although somewhat grassy. Lingering bitterness. Not very refreshing, but would be good with food.

Can @ The Garage: clear gold color wth a fluffy head and sticky lacing. My favorite kind of IPA with aromas of pine needles, grapefruit, and juniper. Hoppy dry flavors with a crisp aftertaste. Solid!
