Bottle. Pours orange with medium, frothy white head. Aroma is thick with floral hops. Taste of earthy citrus hops. Hard to believe only 4.7%. Great session IPA. They nailed this.

Smells of floral hops sweet grass. Tropical fruits and minimal bitterness on taste. Very well put together. Second to Cartonís Boat Beer IMO regarding season IPAs.

Pours a clear yellow gold with a small white head. Aroma of pine and citrus hops and light pale malt. Flavor of citrus hops and light sweet malt and a ton of bitterness at the finish. Very impressive flavor for such a low alcohol beer.

On tap at Katy Brewfest. I was skeptical of this one at first because I didnít believe that a sessionable IPA with low alcohol could still pack in the pine and citrus tones that I love. I was wrong. This was the biggest surprise Iíve had in a long time. Itís so drinkable and smooth, retaining the citrus grapefruity standard that I went back for more, and would drink it regularly if I could. Great job with this one, Founders.

From 345 ml bottle. Pours a clear honey-gold with a small (collapsing) white head. Light to moderate carbonation. Lots of tropical fruit dominate the nose, with grapefruit, lime, melon and guava, as well as some pine needles. Taste is citrus (mainly lemon) up front before a firm, piney hop bitterness in the mid-palate. Sweet malts at the end. Really flavoursome and nicely balanced IPA. Pretty great.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2014 Nice beer, aggressively hopped. Relatively bitter. Becomes more balanced after the first few sips. Not my favorite, but with a certain charm and charisma.

12oz bottle. Very light colored. Very thin and watery. A little light on the malt for my taste. Easy drinking which I suppose was the intention.

Draft at Founders taproom. Pours a golden. Small white head. Nice piney aroma. Flavor was dry hops. Nice mild bitter aftertaste. Last time I saw this I skipped it because I figured it had to be wimpy. I was looking for something lighter this time around and this one didnít disappoint. Toms of hops and flavor for such a light low alchohol beer. Very impressive.

Pours a clear golden with a nice white head. The aroma is fresh and leafy hops with tinge of pine resin. On the palate, the hops blast you with a fresh grassy herbal flavor, but the malt backbone is a little bit weak. You canít help the cognizance that this is a session beer. For what it is, it is well executed, but not exciting.

From the can: nice and clear brassy color with decent orange hued, off-white foam. Bright aroma of citrus rind, grapefruit, pine, with some caramel. The flavor is pretty bitter, citrusy, with a quick finish and a hint of sweetness. Quite refreshing with the lower abv and crisp carbonation. All day indeed.
