bottle. Aroma is decent with floral and citrus notes. Taste is just ok for my likes. A little bland and stays through the aftertaste. Far better ipa’s out there, but would probably be refreshing on a nice summer day.

Light golden in color. Clear. Forms a small white head that quickly reduces to not much more than a ring around the edge. Some light lacing. Aroma is pretty good: lots of tropical hops and juicy citrus with just a bit of pale malts. Unfortunately the taste isn’t nearly as good as the aroma. The malts are rather low and while the hops are certainly present, they almost seem out of place. It’s not that the beer is lacking balance, it’s just the the hops just don’t taste as great as they smell. Body is thin with a bit of a spicy feel in the mouth. Mild-to-moderate bitterness. Overall, something just seems off with this beer. I love hops and this beer has plenty of them, but the lack of an appreciable malt backbone does nothing for them. Sure, it’s easier to drink than most IPAs, but I really just wouldn’t want to.

Aroma is incredibly hoppy. Taste is grassy and lots of hop resin. Very dry finish. This is an all day session IPA. Well done Founders.

Strong hoppy aroma and golden pour with thin but satisfying taste and dry mouthfeel. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Thanks to beersis Pours darker blond with a finger of white head. Smell is really hoppy, fresh cut grass. Taste is grassy, a bit stale, a bit of mild fruit. It’s got taste, but not a good one. Very light bodied. Session IPA is not one of my favorite styles. This one is middle of the road in a sub-par style. I can drink it, but I wouldn’t pursue it.

UPDATED: SEP 14, 2013 12 pz bottle to glass. bottle from Jason/umich in trade. Really like the aroma on this - a sticky kind of citrus hop bomb. beer looking pour Taste for me was the meh ipa - not much on the malt side and hops weren’t enjoyable to me.

Sweaty and dry. Stale, oxidized cardboard finish. Hops are impressive enough for a 4.7% brew. However, this concept seems, to me anyways, to be the answer to a question no one asked. If you want to make an "all day" beer, then why don’t you consider attempting a decent German or Czech pilsner? This is not an all day beer, as I was quite tired of it mid-way through the second glass. I could have saved about $5 and gotten a six pack of Sierra Nevada instead, which would have tasted about the same, but would have been more honest. A poor offering from an otherwise excellent craft-brewer.

On tap at Iron Abbey. Light amber with thin head. Big pine nose. Very dry hop flavor, pine again. Lots of flavor.

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2013 Don?t be fooled this isn?t a kick your ass IPA. Believe the marketing label. It IS an all day IPA. Great session brew but clearly not amped on the booze...recommend it tho to enjoy flavor and keep your wits
