I don’t know why they brewed this one..... Other than using it as a mix and balance with some of their sweeter, darker beers (frangelic stout, vanilla porter, etc) it’s just a very tart, light raspberry, lighter grapefruity brew. Can’t drink this--unless mixed with another beer that overpowers it.

Not really to sure about this one. Its pretty much what everyone else has said, a mix between rubeaus and blushing monk. Founders mustve just bought a ton of raspberries and needed to burn through them. Decent, but the aforementioned are a better choice.

My girlfriend had this at the brewery about 6 months ago. I, of course, finished it. Very fruity, almost fakely fruity, with a tart finish. I’m not a fan.

draft at founders....i agree with badnewsbeers below that this is somewhat a rehash of the rubeaus and blushing monk. this one falls pretty much in between the two.....aroma of light raspberry....appearance: pink grapefruit red with a slightly reddish head...taste was light on the raspberry and then puckers you up with a tartness in the finish. very high on the carbonation scale.

UPDATED: OCT 17, 2007 another spin-off of the rubaeus i suppose...dark red body with big pink head...aroma of tart raspberry, as is the flavor...somewhat in between the rubaeus and the monk..a touch too tart, and lacking anything complex at all
