Sweet and fruity aroma of caramel, dried fruits and marzipan.
Sweet and fruity flavour of caramel, dried fruits, hops and pine needles with notes of alcohol.
Warming alcoholic finish.

Sample @ CBC. Medium head with medium duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are caramel, fruits, flowers, hops and malt. Quite warming with some alcohol.

Draught at CBC 2013. Clear amber - white head. Sweetness, barley, nice hoppy, citrus freshness, grassy, sharpness, ok bitterness, syrup, nice bourbon notes, vanilla, coconut. Smooth.

Chopp. Nice amber brown colour, small off-white head. Aroma of well toasted malt with fruit, alcohol bit wood. Good mouthfeel. Sweet caramel fruity dark malty alco (pleasantly) woodish flavour with dark fruits and some vanilla to it too.

Tap @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade. Pours completely clear red with a love, staying, frothy, off-white head. Aroma has chewy caramel malts, strawberry, light toasted, mild vinious, citrus, a light pepper touch. Medium to low carbonation, wonderful creamy and fat mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet, lots of caramel, blackberries, strawberry, vinious, warming. Had they obtained this flavour at 11% it would have been magnificent. Now it is ’just’ very good.

Draught @ CBC. Amber coloured. Unclear. Dense beige head. ARoma: Dust, ripe fruits, caramel, herbs, marzipan. Flavour. Sweetness, ripe fruits, vanilla, flowers, bourbon, syrup, alcohol. Medium to full bodied. Ends sweetish and fruity. Lots of alcoholbite on lips and palate.

Bottle. Poured clear dark copper color with an average frothy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate to heavy sweet malt wood aroma. Moderate to full smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium to heavy bittersweet flavor to medium to heavy bittersweet finish of moderate to long duration. My expectations where met with a complex beer.

Bottle... Pours clear and burnt-orange with a small, creamy, off-white head. Good retention. The aromatics are of toffee, fruitcake and caramel accompanied by light floral notes. Full-bodied and velvety with mild carbonation. The flavor is super malty, but is balanced nicely by acutely bitter, earthy hops and ethanol. Finishes bitter and boozy. Bottle courtesy of biggsbowler!
